this is true. The oils can hide a lot more than you would think. I would do a 15-20% IPA wipe down.

IronX makes a paste that would be perfect for this. You can let it sit there and break down the brake dust.

Hate to tell you my friend but m205 does not finish down well on soft paints. Even if you have perfect technique and pad choice it is just not as good on soft paints

If I were you I would use a white lake country pad with Menzerna SF4500. It works great on soft paint.
