I have been using Westleys Bleche-wite for cleaning my tires. It does the best of what I can get local. I have some APC called Blue Wolf and Bad Monkey G-20.
I have a couple of old tires to play with. With the Bleche-wite and Blue Wolf (4:1) when I spray on dry tires you could see it turn white...
I finished the wife's Escape. This is the first time I did this many steps.
I washed, clayed, Used UC with the Orange pad, them M205 With White Pad, Then M07 with black pad, followed up with M26 wax by hand.
Also I just got the book "The Art of Detailing by Mike Phillip's", and find it very helpful. It will save time trying to look up info. My garage is 4 miles from my home and no internet. I have been printing and writing down information to save in a notebook. Stuff I thought I might need to take...
Some of the 5 gallon buckets have a taper that makes it easy to stack. My grit guard will go down to about 5" from the bottom. My other bucket from Tractor Supply, the grit guard will fit in the bottom and turn. I have measured and for the grit guard to fit in the bottom of the bucket, the...
You might want to get the 5.5" pads. I have the PC 7336 and used the 6.5" pads for several years, after doing some reading on AG I ordered the 5.5" flat pads and they do a better job, hard to get them to stop turning.
I have the counterbalance for a 6" backing plate, but use the 5" backing plate with the 6.5' pads. Getting ready to use the 5.5" pads. Should I get the 5" counterbalance to use?
I have been looking at the different pads. LC flat pads has 5 different colors. LC CSS has 3 different colors.Meguiar's has 3 different colors. I've been searching the forums and it has a lot of information, but I'm still not sure. Does a person need all the different colors? I'm only doing my...
I tried the white pad this evening and it worked better. Also the Ranger truck is a 1994 instead of a 2004. Are the a learning curve with the CSS pads over the flat pads?
It seems like the pad want's to stick to the paint and not turn, I also tried using more XMT, but it didn't help any. I think it might be the pad. I've only used the flat pads and the CSS pad, I can see the small dimples in the pad sometimes when applying the XMT. I'm going to try a flat pad to...
I have the 5" backing plate, it was in the kit i bought a few years ago. I noticed that the CCS pad dosen't spin like the flat pad does. I'm going to order some 5.5" pads, but not the CCS pad.
I have the older PC 7424, using the 6.5 Flat pads. I order some new pads and got the CCS Green finishing pad to use with XMT 360 AIO. The pad dosen't work, the green pad is harder to use them the flat pads. Is this right?
Can the foam pads be stored in a zip lock bag? What I mean is if I had to leave to go eat supper, and don't have time to clean it out, can it be keep from drying out till I get back, would this be ok?
