    Collinite 845 vs Wheel sealant + spoke-brush

Another thing that would really help are brake pads that don't dust as much. I changed out the pads on my brand new 2003 F150 the day I brought it home cuz I already knew how bad the 03 factory pads dusted. I've always had very minimal dust with Raybestos Blues and Wagner Thermos.

    Front bumper protection

Wish I would have put protective film on my 2011 Ford Edge when I purchased it new. At 50,000 miles it looks like I spent the majority of those miles driving through sand storms and construction sites!!!! Film is definitely the way to go on a daily driver.

    Rusty chrome rims

Well, I just finished the last two this morning using the, very difficult, Utimate compound method. They turned out pretty good and I sealed them with DG 111/601. I was gonna try the 0000 steel wool method but I remember years ago it dulled my 77 Thunderbird bumpers. I'm guessing that the...

    Use Dawn to strip wax?

I was just looking at the Zaino site and, to this day, they still recommend a ONE time wash with Dawn ultra. I would guess they did some research back in the day but not sure if it would still apply today when it comes to stripping off old sealants. Maybe back then they just assumed everyone...

    Rusty chrome rims

I spent the day trying to restore some old rusty chrome rims on a 2001 Buick Lasabre for a friend. A lot of the rust seems to be on the surface but there are a few areas that seem to far gone. Only thing that's working is rubbing the crap out of them with Meguiars Ultimate Compound. My...

    Use Dawn to strip wax?

I think I remember Zaino recommending a Dawn Ultra wash before the initial application of their products. They claimed it would completely strip off old wax. They also stated to only use it once and then never again.

Looking for a new sealant, need suggestions

I went from Zaino to Duragloss 105/601 and back to Zaino. There are threads all over the interweb that say Duragloss 111 is extremely similar to Zaino Z-2 so I finally gave it a try about 2 weeks ago. I can tell you that DG111 goes on identical to Z-2. Just as easy to apply and remove and a...

    Should I buy a Griot's DA Polisher?

For correction, I love the GG6 but for some reason I prefer using my cheap little Harbor freight palm polisher when applying sealant or wax. I just velcro 6" pads on it.

    Duragloss 111

I'm a long time Z-2 user and it's always lasted me through the long Michigan winters. Two years ago I tried 105/601. I found it more difficult to apply by hand and I did not get the longevity I was used to compared to the Z-2 so I switched back. I ran out of Z-2 recently so I decided to give...

    Duragloss 111

Now I know why everyone says that Duragloss 111 is very similar to Zaino Z-2. After not being impressed with a bottle of 105, I finally ordered some 111 and tried it on my 2011 Ford Edge the other day. It was just as easy to apply as the Z-2 and it only took about a tablespoon to do my entire...

    WeatherTech Liners and Mats

Both Weather techs and Husky liners are very good products. Which ones are better depends on the vehicle. I've noticed that the Huskys tend to cover more area but the WT's look better in most cases.

    Oldie but a GOODIE...Bleache-White!

    Oldie but a GOODIE...Bleache-White!

After I noticed the formula change, I started using this cheap Dollar Tree tire cleaner and still do to this day. I think it's called Street Appeal and comes in a big 32oz bottle. To me, it works just as good as the old Westleys BW.

    Looking for a durable sealant

Every time I try a new sealant I end up going back to Zaino Z-2 because of it's extreme durability. I just picked up a bottle of Duragloss 111 to try and I'm hoping it can outlast the 105/601 that I was extremely disappointed with. I've read a few times that 111 and Z-2 are very similar products.

    Pinstriping removal

I'm surprised Lacquer thinner doesn't work cuz it's the only thing that worked on my painted on pin stripes. Not to insult you, but any chance you use paint thinner instead of Lacquer thinner? I used to think they were the same myself but I was never that bright!!!!!
