No damage, I have used on alloy, stainless, fibreglass, plastics, chrome only thing i have not tried it on is single stage paint but cant see there been any issues.

I have used it on the folding camper Fibreglass no problem and used also on the Plastics of my Scooter....
Not best pic... and didnt have much on the fibreglass...
Then the scoot plastics...

Simply ask about using electric and water and as mike says if they can have it washed first especially before machining you canot be accused of inflicting damage and you can quickly point out defects especially if they are beyond machine correction.
