Which meguiar twin combo for swirl remover?

Hi Terentius I would also look into the UC & UP combo. Both can be used via DA polisher and produce very nice results. As others have mentioned M105 does have a learning curve but you could maybe give UC a go and after getting comfortable with that then move up to M105. When I was getting...

    AutoGeek on Twitter

Thanks guys :) At first when I got this direct message I immediately tried to login to my Twitter as I thought someone was talking negatively about my part-time detailing business (it came from my business Twitter account). I was relieved when I saw the address line (I was browsing on my...

    AutoGeek on Twitter

Hey guys I experienced this yesterday. This is a Twitter spam/phishing trap. A direct message will be sent to you saying "I saw a real bad blog about you, you seen this? 'LINK'" Please do not follow the link and sign in to Twitter. It will look like Twitter but the address link is not...

Looking for Opinions of Logo Fonts

I like no 1 best. Black definitely works to look more professional. I used a gradient on mine to make it black to white. Might be an option. Will try post a pic soon but my avatar/profile pic will show you what I mean. Good luck with the business!

    Meguiar's DA MF System

Hey J504 I found that the center also gets too matted down to fluff up and this left me applying pressure with the sponge to fluff them up. I was worried it was going to destroy the pad. I also cut my bug sponge in two to give me more cleaning sides but think my rough cutting ended up making...

    Meguiar's DA MF System

Thanks for the input. After my first day of testing with one set of discs (cut and finishing) using the bug sponge I decided to pickup a denture brush, and the next day on the next set of pads it did it for the few panels I tested (cleaning after each panel). Could you possibly post a pic of...

    Meguiar's DA MF System

Sorry to resurrect but Shiny Lil Detlr does the denture brush you use pull some of the fibers out on the MF discs? I bought one this weekend past and it worked better than the bug sponge method to fluff up the fibers but saw a few fibers fly when cleaning, like small fluff. Only ran my denture...

    Air Compressor Strength

BillE thanks for the conversion. My country's currency is South African Rand (ZAR) which we term as 'R' so R3000 = roughly $400. Most of our detailing gear sold here is imported (funnily enough) through Autogeek in bulk. Things like the DA microfiber system is waaay cheaper for us to import...

    Air Compressor Strength

BillE, depending on size, but a 50 liter, 2.2kW (don't know what that is in imperial terms) is around R3000, so roughly $400. Pretty expensive for us though. But I think I'll be good with a much smaller one for my purposes :)

    Air Compressor Strength

Wow, thanks guys for the speedy input! Yeah I'm only looking to clean pads for the moment, air compressor's aren't cheap in my country so will look at something small and step up in future. Thanks again to everyone and BobbyG for the detailed (excuse the pun) answer. :)

    Air Compressor Strength

Hi guys Don't know if this is the right place for this but does anyone know how strong an air compressor you need for cleaning DA microfiber discs? Getting my DA mf kit soon and need to get an air compressor. Thanks,

Megs DA Micro kit - How many pads?

I'd say it's not hard nor soft. Kind of medium firmness, will check after work if it's hardened after drying. If you compress mine it retains shape and bounces back to full thickness when released. Think I might just do myself a favour and order the Pinnacle one anyway to compare and then...

Megs DA Micro kit - How many pads?

It is fairly soft when dry, was gonna test out on my test panel for marring with ONR this coming weekend, but am weary of it being suitable for washing especially on softer paints. I'm doing my utmost to track down a suitable sponge for ONR washes, but ours have no pores/pockets in them like...

Megs DA Micro kit - How many pads?

Here's the pic of the one I just bought, was intending to use it for ONR washes because of the large open pores to trap dirt, similar to your grout sponges (as the ones in my country are nowhere near a suitable 'Grout' sponge as popularised on the forums for ONR use). Any feedback on this will...

Megs DA Micro kit - How many pads?

Hi Guys Sorry to dig this up again but I've seen the best bug sponge to use with the DA microfiber pads is the Pinnacle honeycomb type bug sponge? Does it have to be this one specifically because I have a sponge like the one pictured already. And does cleaning on the fly destroy the bug sponge...

Collinite Waxes - Is there really any difference between them?

Thanks for the input everyone! Think I'll get my hands on some 915 in the coming months for darker vehicles I work on, otherwise it's Colly 845 ftw! Thanks, Mike
