Just applied some last night. Applied with DA very thin as stated, let it dry for about a minute and then wipe off in direction wind blows.

Yup, this will just be for tight spaces. I have 5.5 inch pads for larger panels. Was doing my wife's MDX last night and there are a lot of contours on the lift gate and front bumper area where I could have really used 3" pads.

Well, I just ordered the 3" BP and the 3" hydro pads....I'll let you know how they work out when I use them. Thanks for everyone's input :dblthumb2:

So do you ever use a 3" pad with that set-up? So can I get the Lake Country 3" backing plate with the Lake Country 3" hydro pads? Or is that too dangerous to not have the extra 1/2" like with other set-ups?

So, just to be clear, if i am getting 3" pads, do I need a 3" backing plate? I just want this for using in small areas (A pillar, roof, bumpers, wings, etc) As for now, the budget will allow for new pads, not new buffer. I JUST bought the XP last week :xyxthumbs: That would awesome, thanks!

Seems like Lowes is the only place to get these. My Home Depot did not carry these. They only went as small as 3/4 in length. Save yourself a trip and go to Lowes. That is all, works great, thanks!
