    my latest project

haha, thank you very much. it feels great to get compliments. my dad and grandfather have been mechanics all their life (they have had a shop/wrecking yard for about 45 years now). im still in school for pharmacy, but i really like doing welding/fabrication and of course detailing on the side.

    my latest project

just used aquawax for the first time on the car. it had a light light layer of dust so thought itd be a good idea to blow what i could off with the leaf blower then use aquawax. as for the dyno numbers, we ended up drilling all the magnets out of the cam gear and replacing them with ferrous...

    my collection

kinda off topic, actually way off topic, but how does the bleache white stuff compare to amazing roll off with respect to being a powerful tire cleaner?

    Fair Price for Detailing??

detailing reminds me of fabricating/welding when it comes to pricing the stuff out...if you charge a flat rate, your kinda cheating yourself, charging by the hour is a must it seems

    Fair Price for Detailing??

this will help me. ive had some relatives wanting me to detail their rigs, usually like a three step polishing process and a coat of carnuba/sealant. ive been saying 200?? im happy, it keeps me busy and is fun to me and you learn new things everytime.

    Amsoil XL oil

you think rp oil is bad...you should see what their synthetic mtf does to bearings, haha. i dont know why that stuff is just not good.

    Amsoil XL oil

lucas oil from what ive seen compared to royal purple, pure garbage. and like mentioned, the only additive for any vehicle worth putting in your rig is putting deisel kleen in a full tank of deisel.

    Amsoil XL oil

we always notice a loss of power with schaffers probably due to its thickness of substances, which is tolerable due to what its doing for the motor. we put it in a motor and make about 6-8 pulls with it, then dump it out and use like mentioned either amsoil or delvac. if weather conditions...

    Amsoil XL oil

well said, what made us switch from mobil 1 to amsoil was we started seeing excessive wear on the cam gear. the stuff was untouchable for a while, then kinda went downhill.

What is the strangest thing you have detailed (snow blower, lawnmower...)?

just detailed my battery charger, haha. i think ill move on to my airtank now

    Amsoil XL oil

on the engine dyno, we gained 8hp switching from regular castrol gtx to mobil 1 synthetic. all our motors are broken in on schaffers, then if it has flattapit cam in it we only run mobil 1 delvac diesel oil, anything else we run amsoil. on my 4cyl turbo motor, i run walmart supertech oil...

    Amsoil XL oil

amsoil is a very proven oil company. its one of the few oils with a lot of zinc. schaffers oil is loaded with zinc, but you probably dont wanna know the price of it.

    Crank Case?

that is true. most that use seafoam will just pull their o2 sensor out and let the car idle for a bit. i dont believe in that stuff at all just like all the octane enhancing additives. the only additive that makes any sense is adding diesel kleen/2 stroke oil to a full tank of diesel.

    Chicago Pneumatic minis

yeah chicago/central, same thing from what hf has told me. good tools w/o the cost. kinda like walmart supertech oil...that is quaker state oil i guess. i use it in my 15k race car motor, haha.
