Has anyone had a chance to compare Mille and Makita?

Ive had no time behind the Mille, but own a 3401. I was able to use the Makita at detail fest, with what appeared to be LC thin pro pads on it. Compared to the 3401, it is smoother, quieter and doesn't "walk" quite as much. I also enjoyed the longer body length as I think it gives you a little...

    Rupes

Love my 21mk2! I have 3401 as well. Just worked on hard as nails paint and it out corrected the 21mk2 with a B&S uro-wool pad. Most times, however, the mk2 is faster- especially on your 5th wheel. You'll like the smooth feel of the rupes!

B&S Uro-Tec or HDO pads for 15mm machine? What matching PC pads to choose?

I vote for the B&S Uro-fiber pads and Maroon uro-tec! Never had a bad experience with other LC offerings, but I'm a fan of "if it aint broke don't fix it," and Uro pads do fantastic on long throws! I went to a B&S seminar at detail fest by Justin Labato, and they (unofficially) announced a new...

Why does my FLEX XFE make that noise?

Id like to see the comparison as well- as IMO the flex has plenty of power, albeit I will admit I’m at speed 5+ 80% of the time. I Also use the 5” BP. There’s been a couple comparisons on YouTube (Sandro from car craft auto detailing preferred the DAS6 for correctional ability and thought the...

Pictures of a 6" Maroon Uro-tec pad after 25-30 uses!

This is awesome! I love B&S and have been very impressed with all of their pads durability!

    Forced Rotation DA

My 3401 comes out when I need to get something done quick, or when I'm working on really curvy areas. My preference is still my XFE-7. Its more comfortable to use, quieter, and doesn't beat you up like the 3401. I would have a void in my arsenal if I got rid of my 3401 though- it just...

Mobile guys -- Electric pressure washer running off of a Generator?

The AR630 is very quiet- used it again today to power wash some grimy floor mats. I was right next to the machine and all I could hear was the "whoosh" of that pressurized water against the mat. I'm also super glad I got the TSS system- cleaned those mats, hit the doorjambs, pre-blasted the...

Mobile guys -- Electric pressure washer running off of a Generator?

FWIW, If you're still considering the AR630, It comes with a standard 15A plug (even though it is rated at 19A). It plugs right into a 15A 120v outlet and has its own built in GFCI. I have had mine plugged into a standard 15A wall plug since inception with no problems whatsoever.

Mobile guys -- Electric pressure washer running off of a Generator?

Sorry about the rude rep- thats never fun or acceptable. FWIW I purchased the AR630 TSS HOT recently and its awesome. I too was between that AR unit and the kranzle 6200 (?) as I wanted something on the prosumer level that I would have for a very long time. I have it in a shop setting but it...

Polishing the truck I just purchased

LSP= Last step product- refers to a wax, sealant or coating that will provide protection from the elements (compounds and polishes do not). Essence is a super unique product in that it truly corrects, polishes and preps (for paint coatings) with a layer of SiO2 (also the predominant ingredient...

Polishing the truck I just purchased

First off, welcome to AGO and congrats on the new truck! HD Speed gets rave reviews (personally never used it), and you would be fine with Iron-x and HD speed on that 5 month old fender. Usually body shops say wait about 30 days before applying any sort of topper on fresh paint. Something to...

Great deal on BOSS 21, 15, Flex XFE

You bet- what's more is they had an open box flex mini (xfe-7-80) for $225 shipped. My budget doesn't allow for one right now, but that was a "ooooh I need it" moment, and of course it was gone the next time I checked the listing! Someone got a deal for sure!

Great deal on BOSS 21, 15, Flex XFE

These polishers popped up on my eBay notifications this morning, thought I'd pass them on. They're sold by a PBMA seller so I think posting the links here is a-ok. Boss 21...

    Prosumer electric power washer advice

Truthfully, I don't anticipate running any water hotter than ~120 for the foreseeable future. I spoke to a rep at powerwashersdirect and she mentioned that even "hot" 120 degree tap water can damage some "cold" units internally, since the washers list the MAX TEMP of the incoming water. The TSS...

    Prosumer electric power washer advice

Just an update- I've used my new AR630 TSS Hot now a handful of times and am very impressed. Its super quiet. I can hardly hear the machine humming unless I am washing right next to it- even then its difficult to distinguish the pump noise over the pressured water spray. I upgraded all the...

3401 Slowing Down At Set Speed

powerhousetoolparts dot com is where I get all my flex parts. I like to stock up because shipping is a flat $10.95. PN 320374 is the trigger switch. $29.80 and there is 40 left in stock. I'd also consider the speed control unit- PN 292990. Unfortunately that little bugger is $87.85. Good...

    Rupes MarkII

Painted real estate = long throw (21mm sounds perfect in your case) Curvy panels- I still reach for my 3401 even though my 15mm XFE and proper technique can keep the pad spinning just fine. Echoing what everybody else has said, the long throw tools provide a great user experience and...

    Prosumer electric power washer advice

Talked to a rep at powerwashersdirect today for about 20 minutes about the Mi-T-M, AR630tssHot and also the kranzle k1622. Right away her recommendation was the kranzle unit. I talked to her a bit longer and weeded out the Mi-T-M. She mentioned that for the price, the other two units...

    Prosumer electric power washer advice

Good find! Ive seen some of their products and they look exceptional- I'd like to stick to units under $1k if at all possible though.

    Prosumer electric power washer advice

Hello AGO, I'm looking at purchasing a prosumer grade electric power washer to compliment the new shop I'm moving into. I really don't want to have a "gas vs electric" debate (I have a honda powered 2700psi unit at home which works great- no denying this will be more powerful). Electric makes...
