Semi Permanent Tire Coating Face Off

I have photos when I originally started (3/17), and will take photos soon, for a 1 month test. With that said, I do not want to publish here, since I believe it will be breaking forum rules. Eric

Semi Permanent Tire Coating Face Off

This is great...thanks. I have my own going on with my banged up daily driver: Tuf Shine vs. Minwax Polycrylic Satin ;) Kind of my own version of cheap vs. expensive. Eric

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

Funny...I've got Mckee's 37 v2 on my two vehicles, park outside, live in Northeast, and I am just at the point of needing to reapply, after about 18 months. I do top it off with DG aquawax as my drying aid, though, which may have helped with longevity some. UK 3.0 was on my short list as well...

    Touch up paint questions...

I also saw, I think, AMMO NYC video on youtube, and what he did was mix the base with the clearcoat in one step. I'm going to try that, since I have OEM paints for my vehicles, and have some spots to touch up (door edges seem to be something "other" folks in my family don't pay attention to). Eric

Help me decide which coating to buyI’m curious

I have used the old version of Mckee's as well as the new. Never used Pinnacle. All I can say is that I would suggest taking the time and searching this forum, as well as the other sub forums; there is a wealth of experience and information, as far as both products concerned, which will allow...

Flagged tipped brush & Duragloss #253

Thanks...tried 505, didn't work as well for me, but didn't have it at 1:1. Eric

Did I NOT apply this coating correctly? Images inside..

Here's what my experience looked like when trying to reapply Mckee's the second time after a year, and a polish. I did NOT prep the paint well enough (whatever prep you use, you must ensure the surface is free of anything left over. I made sure the surface was literally squeaky clean upon...

Flagged tipped brush & Duragloss #253

I was asking DBAILY; I saw your dilution ratio, was wondering his as well, since that stuff is "almost" as strong as Drano. 5:1 sounds just about right, considering what it feels like at 1:1. Eric

Flagged tipped brush & Duragloss #253

Can I ask at what ratio you use Industrial Purple at for this, as well as tires (when needed)? I use it at 1:1 for degreasing the kitchen oven, as well as the ceramic grates on top of my stove. At that ratio, I have a feeling the rubber would just peel right off ;) Eric

    Most durable ceramic coating?

Fly, Can you elaborate on this point? Right now, I use Hyperwash, but use Aquawax as a drying aid. Are you saying I shouldn't, because it's not allowing the "full effect/water show"? Eric

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

    Thanks much!

I'd like to know just how thick 10 layers of that stuff is, please? Eric

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

I see that Tar-X's most active ingredient is Petroleum Distillates (55-65%). Didn't try any Lacquer Thinner when trying to remove the Tuf Shine. Thanks for the input. Eric

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

That's not good if it is easy to remove, I think. As long as longevity is concerned, IMO. I had not prepped one of my tires enough when I first applied Tuf Shine,, and it was a PITA to remove. Eric

Any recommendations on applying M37 paint coating V2?

I have transferred the coating into plastic bottle droppers, and stored in the fridge, since I don't have that many cars to coat. This is from last summer. I will be breaking it out this spring, to recoat two cars I did a while ago (need to do some swirl correcting). As far as I can tell...
