Sonax Net Polymer Shield - First Experience

Took advantage of the nice weather these last two days to catch up on some much needed polishing on Rocket. (My '13 Juke.) I hadn't really polished and waxed since October, just doing my Uber waterless as needed. The Collinite 845 was holding up beautifully, but I wanted to catch the swirls I...

    Pad Cleaning question/help

From now on, I'm going to hit them with the power washer and some pad cleaner. Otherwise, I'm washing my hands of the situation. Twice. Then polishing my hands. Then waxing my ha.. dammit!

    Pad Cleaning question/help

None. The one I did scrub with a soft bristle brush has a bit of wear on it, but nothing I'm concerned about.

    Pad Cleaning question/help

First of all, thank you to everyone for the great advice. This is how it all ended. up. The first picture.. I sprayed the dirty pad with Mckees pad cleaner when I took it of the DA. It was thoroughly soaked with cleaner. I massaged it with my thumbs under warm running water, trying to work the...

Some silly issues I need advice on

I've always used Bleche-White and a brass brush to clean my tires. That combo will clean anything off. Spray a dry tire, then I usually rinse the head of my brass brush (the area with the bristles is 2 inches by 2 inches) and scrub the rubber. When it dries, you will have a super clean tire...

    Pad Cleaning question/help

If I may revive this thread. I just spent the better part of an hour trying to clean orange Lake Country pads that I used today with McKees 360. I was using McKees pad cleaner by spraying it onto the pad when I'd finished using the pad/changing to clean one. I put the used pads, soaked with...

My First Motorcycle Detail (2012 Harley Road Glide)

Very nice work! I recently did my '88 Magna with LC orange pads and Blackfire Total Polish and Seal. It left the paint looking amazing. But, if you get the chance, top one with Wolfgang Fuzion paste. Holy Crap does that stuff leave some gloss!

    Hard decision made tonight.

Paul, I just now saw this post. My deepest sympathies to you and yours. It's amazing how empty a house can feel at the loss of a dog. I hope the wounds have been replaced by happy memories. - Jim (& Milo)

    Sealing freshly polished aluminum

Hi guys, I had been trying to get a very old gasoline stain off of my stator cover. It turns out, the stain is in the clear coat. I attempted to use my DA to clean them following the directions of someone who did the same with their aluminum wheels. In doing so, the clear coat started to come...

Which Quick Detailer / Waterless Wash ?

As I recall, an extremely handsome, intelligent, suave, debonair, talented, and helpful forum user1 created a thread sharing his first experiences with waterless washes that you might be interested in. The Pinnacle with carnuba and the Wolfgang Uber were his personal favorites. 1 Whose...

    Porter Cable 7424 XP

Assuming this is the kit you got, I'd recommend doing a test spot with the orange pad and the Finishing Glaze. The red pad has no cut, I use them for spreading wax (and couldn't be happier with them). Also, some photos would really help figure out what's going on.

    Fuzion durability and maintenance?

I agree, Collinite is bulletproof and definitely my go to for my daily driver. Just rock solid. I'm willing to put a little more work into the motorcycle have the look I get from Fuzion. As maintenance, I think I may try the Fuzion spray wax. I'll share my experiences with it.

    Fuzion durability and maintenance?

I can't believe it's taken me this long to come to Wolfgang Fuzion. I received a 3 oz. jar of Fuzion Carnuba Polymer Estate Wax as either part of a giveaway, drawing win, or mystery box purchase last year. It has sat on my shelf with other waxes while I rely on my trusty old Collinite 845 for...

    What are you eating?

My dog, Milo, said that if I drove him to Chick-Fil-A, he'd share his fries with me. So, I've got a sandwich and half an order of fries. (And a very happy co-pilot.)

    Motorcycle chrome care

While we're on the subject of motorcycles, has anyone used Amazing Roll Off on their bike? It's clear coat and vinyl safe, so it seems like a logical choice. (Also, I already have some in the garage.) I'd be curious, also, if anyone has compared S100, ARO, and other APCs for use with bikes. I'm...

    Motorcycle chrome care

I'm really happy with Flitz for the chrome and aluminum on my '88 Magna and '72 Chevelle. I've been using 303 on my cables, under the hood of my cars, etc., but am looking at trying out Woflgang Exterior Trim Sealant. P.S. Cool trike!
