Optimum No Rinse as a QD?

That's fine! I plan to use it only for a cleaning QD when there is just some dew or extremely light dust on the vehicle, and to aid in lubrication during the drying process. If it works as good as Spray & Wipe for this purpose, it will save me good chunk of change. :D Thanks guys.

Optimum No Rinse as a QD?

I was fortunate to have a friend send me a small sample of the ONR. I was quite impressed with the results. After I used the sample up, I realized that some folks use it as a cleaning QD. Has anybody here used it as a "cleaning" QD? Do you like it? Any tips or tricks? I would like to replace...

Natty's Red video - comparable to Zymol waxes

I doubt that the red will have much more durability that the other two... and I agree, they lack it. I have been running a side by side test of the original Natty's (white) and Collinite 915 on the hood of one of my vehicles. Both looked very nice after two thin coats were applied (actually...

    Microfiber towel brands....

The Cobra's and Pakshak's Ultra Plus towels rank at the top of my list. IMHO, the Prestige towels at Detail City are nice, but not quite as good as Pakshaks or the Cobras.

    which carnub? pinnacle or p21

If you have a light colored vehicle, you might want to go with P21S. If it is a medium to dark color, I would probably go with Souveran. Trade Secret is another fine carnauba that looks great on darker colored vehicles. There are many other good ones.

    Rotary Polisher...

I have a Milwaukee rotary, and I also have a Mikita 9227. The Milwaukee is a great tool, and extremely heavy duty (and heavy). I like to have a cutting or polishing pad on the Milwaukee, and a polishing pad or finishing pad on the Mikita. I use the Milwaukee to get the "nasty stuff", and...

    Duragloss questions

Thanks Al, Looks like I'm going to go with the Duragloss wash (901), clean and polish with the Duragloss Marine Polish (501), seal with TPP (105), detail with the Marine Detailer (921), and maintain with the Aquawax (951). That sounds like the optimum Duragloss process from what I can gather...

    Duragloss questions

Thanks AL, Yes OGB is a fine wax... a little finicky like most of the durable paste waxes, but a fine wax nonetheless. I used it as a topper over "numerous" coats of Zaino for the winter months, and that combo was pretty durable. :D Do you also feel that the 111 is better choice (for...

    Duragloss questions

Thanks... looks like I will have to try the 111 on the light vehicles, and 105 on the darker colors. I still have some One Grand Blitz carnauba around, and will use it as my topper for the winter months. It is very similar to the Collinite waxes in durability, and I prefer the look of the OGB.

    Another Menz 106 review

I have a couple of the Menzerna polishes. I believe Menzerna claims to use the finest automotive abrasives in the world. After using their products, I certainly can't argue that point. I guess I will have to add 106 to my "ever growing" list of new products to try. :D

    Help! New guy..

Not sure why you are having trouble applying the wax over your sealant. May I ask what wax you are using as your topper?

    Waterless Wash?

Also, when you do a regular wash, don't hesitate to use some S & W with your WW towel to dry the vehicle. The added lubrication in the S & W adds some additional safety. As a matter of fact, you can mix the S & W 50/50 with your favorite QD (non-carnauba) and use that to aid in the drying...

    Waterless Wash?

Provided your vehicle is not extremely dirty, PB's S & W will more than do the trick. As budman3 said, you spray it on, and VERY GENTLY wipe it off, and use LOTS of good MF's. Use a sprayer that throws a nice fine mist. You don't need a lot of product, but covering the area you are going to...

    Duragloss questions

Thanks Al-53... I live up north, where we do get a log of snow/salt. What would you recommend different than 501-601-105 for that type climate?

    Duragloss questions

Interesting... I was hoping that the Duragloss combo I mentioned would rival Zaino's new product line. I would like to switch for a couple of reason. First, I would prefer to do more of my business here at Autogeek. Secondly, I think it is ashame that Sal can't sell some of his stuff in bulk...

    Duragloss questions

I've decided to give Duragloss a try as a replacement for my Zaino. After reading a lot of great info here, I've decided to use the following... First, 501 followed by 601, and then a couple of coats of 105. Do all you Duragloss users feel that is a top notch combo for looks and durability...
