Any love for DP poli coat/PBL sealant??

As soon as I use up the sealants I have, DP Poli-Coat is next on my to try list. Sounds like a good beginner introduction to coatings. I too am surprised there is so little chatter about it here.

    any ONR people here?

I dry the windows off using a waffle weave to moisten it, then I mist each panel with a QD as I dry. Keep the waffle weave wrung out.

    DP waterless wash

    1) Depends. If you buy a gallon, it will last a very long time. 1 5gallon bucket should wash the whole truck I would think. Go from there based on dilution ratio etc.,. 2) Will be safe on anything. If you use one with a wax in it, I tend to avoid using it on the windshield as any kind of film...

    DP waterless wash

You will love Optimum No Rinse or similar. Yesterday I washed my car using ONR. It was coated a mixture of sand and ice melter. Really gross. I wasn't able to do a pre-rinse, however, I do have a 2 gallon garden sprayer I use to pre-soak the car with ONR solution. I was amazed how easily all the...

Please Weigh In: Polymer Sealants vs. Ceramic/Silica Products

DP Poli-Coat is an interesting product. Sounds like coating/sealant hybrid kind of deal. Does Poli-Coat have ceramic/silica in it, or is just a different kind of polymer package ? I think I can get the look I want by just using detailing sprays over the poli-coat.

How to use Poorboy's Blackhole corrrectly?

I love Blackhole Glaze. I use it on my wife's black RDX. I thought it would mute the flake in the paint. But it must clean pretty well, because, it pops pretty nice. Added a sealant over it and it looks great. Does a nice job of filling swirls til I decide to do a correction again.

How to remove streaks from OCW and which spray wax doesn't streak?

Strange. I fine OCW extremely user friendly. No streaks, but I only use it in the shade...garage mostly. I just did the winter prep on 2 family vehicles consisting of 2 coats of another brand of sealant and then topped with OCW. No problem. I can't wait to get some Optimum Spray Detailer. Just...

Does claying remove sealers as well?

Anybody else use BugSquash or similar to strip everything off the paint ? I mist each panel with it during the initial wash and seems to work great.

    Wheel wax / sealant

DP wheel glaze is also a nice product. Work it in with a foam pad. Cleans, shines, and protects. Follow it up with a detailing spray for maximum pop.

    Review: Meguiars Wheel Brightner

This is a great thread. Thanks to everyone. How similar is this product to the Hot Shine Wheel Cleaner in the pink spray bottle ? That stuff works so well..I have to imagine it is similarly dangerous.

    DG105 was brutal

Try letting it cure overnight. One thing is for sure. Next time you wash it, it will look fine. Sounds exactly like what happens when I use Zaino under less than perfect conditions. In fact, I just went thru this last weekend. Use a lot of QD and still some remained. Next day...it looked great...

1 hour left for sale best tire shine???

Optibond is good if you like a nice dark natural looking rubber. The shine is nice when first applied but after a heat cycle or 2 it will lose the shine. The nice black appearance remains though. I just prefer a bit more shine. Optimum Tire gloss gives more shine but there are better options.

    Replacement for Zaino Z-16-Tire Gloss

I've used Z16, Optibond, Optimum Tire Gloss, Meg's Hyper Dressing, and a few other sample size tire gels, but I have a new favorite. DP Tire Gel. Easy to customize the shine. I like a bit shiny !! This stuff lasts like crazy. I like that is gives a nice consistent finish. Meg's was close in...
