Mix degreaser with waterless/rinseless to cut grime?

I’m still thinking about picking up Marine 31 Port to Starboard All Purpose Cleaner for a stronger cleaner that wipes away clean. The description makes it sound similar to the waterless/rinseless washes but with the kick of an APC. Edit: It even says it’s good for salt stains. Marine 31 Port...

Video: Trying P&S Bead Maker for the first time.

While I think V’s videos are good and well put together, it appears to me his objective here seems to be self serving. His “contributions” to this site, other than links to his videos, seem non existent. Do you read any other threads than your own here? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you offer...

Anyone who does pro detail on weekends while having a regular 5 day 37.5 hour a week job?

I think you’re way off, if not then hardly anyone would would get into this business. The initial investment is really low even for middle level detailing. Your biggest expense would be a polisher and pads and you can go with a PC or a HF DA to start out with and still get great results...

Any reputable detailers in the northern VA area?

If you re looking for a lesser package/price (something like a one step or AIO, maybe some selective deeper scratch removal if possible) and someone that’s mobile, I’d be happy to help depending on your location.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Worked with a helper for the first time today detailing. My friend has been hurting for money and I had two int/ext packages to do. Would have taken me most of the day by myself. It went really well. I pretty much cut my time in half. I scrubbed the Weathertecs to let him get ahead of me...

I am completely drooling over flex tools...should i just take the dive?

I don’t know, but I’m interested in hearing what’s said. I have the Duetto now and have thought about my next addition. I’ve been really interested in the Mille because Rupes is known to have very balanced machines, and the “Beast” is known to be a beast in more ways than one. As far as 3”...

New Car First Detail Process - Fill in the blanks

I’ll add to skip step 4. Your polish or AIO should remove most any protection if there was something applied. I guess be glad they did the minimum, the more they touch it the worse it will be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Black spot hell on White paint

I’ve run into them a lot lately. I pick, flick, and clay and that usually works decent. Although now I am doing a large white RV and it has a lot them. The customer has told me not to worry about them but can’t help but try to get most of them off. Man these things really stick to...

    Wax after Nanoskin

I’ve used the Car Wax while you clay method on numerous cars and it works. You can still get marring, new vehicle or not. I marred the heck out of a new Toyota Sienna roof before I noticed it once. It didn’t seem all that contaminated.

    Wax after Nanoskin

Yes. It will remove, or at least diminish, most LSPs. It is a mild form of abrasive.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Yea, I forget who the other one was. Somehow his business cards ended up in my shopvac. :dunno: I think he must have used him last. That’s when I noticed the wax stained residue on his trim. :( He’s a decent customer that likes to keep his car clean, rain or shine. He’s a character too...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Ahh, so YOU are the other guy! I had a suspicion he he was seeing someone else, and I knew I found traces of TOGW on one of my last details. Just like lipstick on the collar...oh that cheating SOB. Ha, just kidding bud. He’s told me that he uses another service from time to time if I...

When to apply spray QD sealants

I think the main question here is when to top your sealant which may get you a bunch of varied answers. Many will say that WG DGPS (if that is the product you are referring to) is great sealant that doesn’t really need to be topped. I haven’t used the product but have topped many a sealant...
