    Review: Poorboy’s World Trim Restorer

I've used it on a number of convertible tops, including a detail I did recently of a 1972 Triumph with an original top. I did two coats of TR, one week apart. Both the owner and his wife were floored. The top looked essentially new. And the car showed the day after I did the second...

    Poorboy's Liquid Natty's Blue v.Beta Giveaway

My new Corvette is SCREAMING for a detail. I was going to do a full sealant and call it a day, but I could do some Natty's just as easily for a review. How soon could you get it here?

    New Guy from Georgia

Yea, you guys have as tough a road ahead as we do. And then we meet at the end of the season. Alabama is going to be a tough contest for you guys. Well have fun on your road trip and get that car out in the rain. It'll do it some good. The crest looks better with some rain on it....

    Autogeek Packaging-A Plus

I mentioned this last year, but since this thread touches on it... I have been requesting paper packing ever since I found out it was available back in '09. I thank Autogeek for that. Cornstarch peanuts would also be a VERY welcome packing solution but I do realize it's an added cost, however...

    New Guy from Georgia

Beware the Ga-tor fans that want you to come to them. Best thing about Gainesville is how fast and easy it is to get from Archer to I-75. Why, you got a photo of one? Do they all wear visors? We prefer hats and helmets. Says the guy who admits he's afraid to take his car out in the rain...

    East Coast Bug Report

I can confirm the love bugs in N.FL. I can also confirm that Bug Squash lives up to it's reputation for dealing with them. :)

    New Guy from Georgia

You have PM back, and I am sure we can get together for me to show you how to do ONR washes (my car is due for one) and how to get the spiderwebbing out. I need to do some minor touch up buffing on my car as well so that will work out.

Nolefan, where are you located? I'm down in Tallahassee, and could possibly lend a hand if you're close.

Video for the potential client, how can I improve it?

I am an amateur filmmaker, and do corporate video for a living. My suggestions are these: 1. Use a tripod. 2. Use a good microphone to clean up the audio 3. Move the camera far far less. 4. Stay on topic. Do you really want to mention strip bars in a video about car detailing to your...

What product do you wish AG would carry?

I wish they would bring Surf City back. I think they ditched the line before people really learned about it. I have now migrated to SCG for all my cleaning needs. To my mind, this is where the line is strongest. I understand their quick detailer is excellent as is the tire dressing. I'll be...

Bug Season Is Coming, Looking For Suggestions

I've used the Pinnacle Bug and Tar pad and it's lovely. I've also used PoorBoys World Bug Squash and found it quite good. I sold a lot of it last year to co-workers. The best product I've found is the Surf City Garage Road Trip and Grime Destroyer. Hand's down the best spray on solution for...

What PPE do you use when detailing?

I mostly detail outside in Florida. You do what you need to do. Or you pay the consequences later. ... humid 80-90 degree weather. That's a cool summer day for us. It's been 80+ all week and we're not out of April yet.

What PPE do you use when detailing?

I wear nitrile gloves when I work with chemicals, and mechanixwear gloves when I am using the polisher. I wear a mask when working with strong wheel cleaners or other harsh chemicals, and I wear earmuffs when working with the vacuum.

    Frustrated with Swirl Removal

Thank you. I've only been doing this a couple of years, and am still learning. So your post is helpful and informative to me.

    Frustrated with Swirl Removal

Apparently, your perspective and mine differ. But that's ok. Personally, my belief is that if you leave contaminants in the paint surface, then move dislodge them with a polishing machine, it's going to adversely affect the paint. Apparently, you feel differently. No problem.

    Frustrated with Swirl Removal

I apologize. I read your post three times and still have not seen where you mentioned you clayed the car. But if you did, that answers my question.
