NEED HELP - Detailing new Yamaha R1 Motorcycle windsheild

Hello everyone , its been a few years I have been away from detailing as well as the forum. So I am in the need of some advice from a detailer that has been through this specific experience. I'm in the middle of correcting the paint on a brand spanking new 2019 Yamaha R1 motorcycle that was...

Rupes LHR 12E Duetto or LHR 15ES for Weekend Warrior

If I was making a suggestion to a hobbyist on which one Rupes machine to buy it would be the Duetto. (Although I would strongly suggest both the Duetto and the Mini in one purchase) I own the 15, Duetto and the Mini. And I believe the Duetto is the more versatile of the the 3 for completing...

LHR 21 ES dead right out of box

Heres the real question, was your replacement a NEW machine out of the box or a refurbished unit ? I would ask AG to be clear on this. Considering your machine was brand new and never used, I would not settle for a refurb.

    Rupes 15

Yes they did improve the units. The Rupes have gone with upgraded power cords that dont bind up as easily when folded and stored. We first saw them on the Duetto and Mini. they also went with a black trigger with a rubber grip on the finger area I suppose for better ergonomics. Other than...

    Intro to "The System"

I suggest you only buy 1 or 2 pads and the small polish to try first. Dont go all in without testing out the system you intend on using . If you want to have a versatile setup I suggest the Blue and yellow polish. And the Blue, Green and Yellow pads. Keep in mind you can use the Blue...

Duetto and the Meguiars microfiber system, new foam pads

I dont use all of the Rupes foam pads on my Duetto for the same reason you spoke off. I do use the white pad for finishing though as its really soft and works well with a finishing polish. The machine was night and day difference when I switched over the Buff n Shines pads. I currently use...

Buff and Shine Now Available @ Autogeek!

If you have never used B&S before I suggest picking up the green polishing pad. This pad is absolutely amazing ! It is the ultimate 1 step pad IME. Finish's excellent on soft paint. But it also cut really well on harder paint. Its a very soft open cell foam pad that makes buffing very easy...

Introducing the MOST CONCENTRATED waterless wash - by BLACKFIRE

Do you realize that most water based products are made from a concentrate that has an even higher dilution ratio than 1:48 when mixed at the manufacturer. They do this for storage purposes. Just ask any re-label manufacturers. They get a super high concentrate, then mix a giant batch of the...

    Wheel stains

Meguiars Wheel Brightener undiluted, Auto finesse ObliTARate, and Carpro IRON-X Paste is my heaviest combo I would reach for in a situation like your describing. I would start with a heavy application of wheel brightener. rinse off. Reapply and agitate. Rinse then dry. Making sure the wheel...

What to do with the Carpro Suede?

i agree its not worth saving the ones you've already used. I know your trying to factor re-using applicators into your cost analysis budget. But If you scratch or marr the paint your equation goes out the window, that is unless you consider your manual labor priceless. You also have to...

Introducing the DP Turbo Car Dryer! 6.5 Peak Horsepower Blower for Drying Your Car!

I bought this product right away and I love it. I stopped using my Master Blaster for 3 reasons. 1 - The size just made it clumsy and too much work 2- The power demand requiring me to make sure nobody else was on the same breaker when in use 3- Heated air was actually aiding water spots...
