Will do this evening! I will admit that colors such as pearls and colors with tri coats that have tinted clears always do need a blend. Some colors you can get away with it, others no. But like i said, the paint system being used is very important. You cant expect the same results out of an ppg...

Just out of curiosity, if you say its small, dont you think a pdr guy could of done it and no need to respray?

Btw! I fixed my focus and i got a perfect match! Its tuxedo black as well!

Buddy ive repainted many fords with that tuxedo black and i can assure you it aint difficult to blend. I always get a perfect match and i never need to blend into other panels. I painted so many fords i know the paint codes by memory, tuxedo black is UH! I have painted just the fenders, doors...

Its going to be my first time using it, how much time between coat applications?

Some quick detailer will do the trick! If you spray enough on that dent on the bumper, it might just come out! Hell, the quick detailer is going too far actually... A California duster will do the trick just fine and dandy! :xyxthumbs:

Correct. It could be better... It leaves the surface perfectly clean and uncontaminated from oils, waxes, grease, etc. This is what is needed to be used prior to painting. Ask any painter what happens when the panels are not wiped down down correctly prior to painting. Its every painters...

Ah man that sucks. I work for a company that does cosmetic repairs for dealers such as painting bumpers, fenders, wheels, etc. its mind blowing to me how cars have gotten severely damaged just for going in for an oil change! :eek: some people are just too clumsy... Sucks to hear you will need a...

Hey good idea! I had not thought about that. I may give that a shot but after claying the car im going to wipe it down with a wax and grease remover i use for when i paint cars. Im sure that is going to leave the clear pretty bare ready for polishing! :buffing:

Hasnt been long since the car beads like crazy and not a single drop of water will stick to it. I will wash it and add a tiny bit of dawn and then clay it since it does really need to be clayed. Im sure by them the clear should be bare and ready to get polished!

So im going to polish my car next weekend and i was wondering what would be a good product to use to strip the wax its currently has. I realized i only have maintance soaps so i dont have nothing strong to remove the lsp... I really dont want to place an order for a product i wont get in time...

Just wondering, those who have tried this, how long does it last? Is the durability the same as that of BFWD sealant? Or less? Or more? :dunno:

Premium clears have a lot more uv protection on their own... Ive seen a truck sit outside 24/7/365 for over 10 years that had glasurit clear used on it and the thing had no wax or anything. It was crazy shinny! Like i said, premium clears have more uv protection than lower end ones.

The best way to restore headlights is to sand em down with 600 grit sandpaper, follow it up with 800 and then 1000 and then shoot clear coat over them. Its pretty much a guarantee that WILL last YEARS... and i mean years! Thats how ive always done em' and they look brand new and are protected...

Thanks! To be honest the car is fairly brand new and the leather is in great condition so i am wondering if a wipe down with some leather cleaner will do the trick or just to be on the safe side get the brush and use that instead? Im sure the brush will become handy down the road...
