    Clear Bra & Hail Dents

I have my full hood covered with a clear bra and I was wondering what kind of problems that will cause for hail dent repair. Is the clear bra in the affected areas going to need to be removed? Just looking for a second opinion before I speak with my claims monkey. Thanks

Ford tells 89,000 Escape, Fusion owners to park cars because of engine fire risk

So what do you have against these foreign manufactures such as Toyota or Honda that are building factories in the United States? I mean to my dismay, if I order an Acura TL from the factory, it comes from Marysville, Ohio. Fusions I believe are still built in Mexico. Escape may still be...

    Small LC Pads.

There are LC 4" HydroTechs that I currently use and I have heard that 4" LC Flats exists just never seen them. If it doesn't need to be foam, Optimum has 4.25" MF pad available that should work nicely with that backing plate.

    My only complaint about AG...

Not that I requested but I am hoping to see my 1/2 gallon waterless wash show up in paper. UPS has done an extremely awesome job of damaging packages with heavy products (1/2 gallons or gallon containers) but I am thinking the paper might do better than the peanuts with the weight.

    Tricks with WOWA's like Opti-Seal?

And if you have ever had an issue with clean glass causing your microfibers to lint, once the windows are coated with opti-seal the problem goes away ;). Still can be an issue on the inside.

    Tricks with WOWA's like Opti-Seal?

When I had brought the topic up before of topping collinite 845 over poli-seal, a 12-24 cure time was highly recommended for the protection portion of poli-seal to cure. However, due to winters short days and cold weather, I did put 845 on poli-seal within 1-2 hours of doing the poli-seal and...

    Tricks with WOWA's like Opti-Seal?

It is possible having something under the opti-seal could cause fogginess, I believe opti-seal will try to work itself to the bottom when applied over another product which never sounded good to me in terms of clarity and have never tried it. So I would probably say if your going GPS first, use...

    Tricks with WOWA's like Opti-Seal?

Applicator - MF pad, currently I think its a Meguiars Even Coat applicator. I switched to this from a yellow foam applicator because of static, a good clean window, some opti-seal, and a foam pad seemed to result in good amount of static. I also think the mf pad does a better job of spreading...

    My only complaint about AG...

I just get so excited when my order gets here that the peanuts go everywhere. :buffing: And it can be rather sad to watch my dogs chase them like two cat nipped fur bags.

    collinite 845

I have never had to warm it up. I have never tried applying it below say 55-60 degrees and a good shaking of the bottle has always turned it to liquid.

    Tricks with WOWA's like Opti-Seal?

I have found it to always be visible when applying it to glass and you will notice the product flashing off with that oil slick look. But if your applying the "correct" amount, the time between application and flashing to clear can be quick depending on the weather. Far as removing it, if you...

    Tricks with WOWA's like Opti-Seal?

The oily smear you are likely seeing is from using to much product. When I use products that are WOWA (Wipe On Walk Away), I always follow the application up with a microfiber and a light touch to avoid later surprises. (opti-seal, opti-coat) Next time you apply opti-seal to windows, paint...

    My only complaint about AG...

I didn't know we could request our packing material but when my first round of autogeek packages showed up today, I was quite happy to see paper.

3M Clear Bra - Questionable Install

I also assume they wiped it down prior to installation which is fine as they have to warranty the product. I also wiped the paint down twice with pre-wax cleaner after polishing it and prior to taking the vehicle in because I didn't want any complaints about it feeling slipperly, oily, waxed...

3M Clear Bra - Questionable Install

Because there were scratches/swirls in those areas and the clear bra may hide the swirls directly below the bra but it doesn't hide the swirls next to it. I didn't want to compound/polish right next to the edge of the clear bra when I could do it before hand. Of course it was in vain because...

3M Clear Bra - Questionable Install

The wife got a new Mazda this week, and after we took it home and polished the areas that were to be covered with the clear bra, we took it back to the dealer to get the work done. When we went back to pick up the vehicle, she pointed out one of the spots to the salesman (the person who met us...
