    CarPro Essence with non-CarPro coating

I've been using Essence as a primer to a non-Cquartz coating since Essence was released about 6-7 mos ago. And so far, everything is holding up great. I've coated approx 20 cars like this, including my own which I drive every day and monitor.

    Mobile detail/ car wash

I agree that $20 is too cheap, our washes start at $30, we a fixed location and do volume I disagree with "making no money on washes" and here's why: Most customers need a detail and dont even know it. They call you for a wash, you show up and put on your salesman hat and explain the benefits...

How much paint should you be removing as a pro?

Well I consider it proof when I see CC damage resembling the shape of the underlying hood structure or lack of heat protection.

How much paint should you be removing as a pro?

Of course heat plays a factor! Ever see a hood with more CC damage than the roof?

    2 part coatings

the "topper" is the top nano coat. After that, you can use any wash products and waxes you like to clean and maintain, it just wont last as the Nano will repel them after full cure. I use the green waterless, never tried the ultra nano but ive heard great things. I've been using the green for 5...

    2 part coatings

Someone on the Pearl Nano Intallers FB page already threw a plethora of chemicals at pearl and they did not strip. Dont remember exactly what he tried, but straight acid and some other really harsh stuff was used.

Carpro Pearl or Megs Hyper Dressing

I agree with neither, although I use hyper on tires. Both will run off of trim in the rain and not last too long, depending on how many coats a,d how you diluted. I like Adams VRT and UTTG

Paint coating on single stage paint???

I've done one about 4 months ago, a Single stage White Toyota and its holding up strong! Just gotta find the right product. Out here in HI, nothing i've used as an LSP lasted 3 months without showing signs of oxidation. From Megs Synthetic wax, Collinite, Klasse HGSG, Wolfs HB, Opti-Coat pro...

    Dried milk in leather

Had this on a customers Acura TL. We used a paper clip and vacuum to try loosen the dried milk and suck it out. Then I sprayed Megs D116 all into the holes and left it for a bit, then sucked as much out as possible with the vac and the smell went away.

    2 part coatings

Are you talking about Pearl Nano? If so, the reasoning behind the 2 layer system is many. Separetly, the 2 different coats offer different abilities. The base coat isn't as hydrophobic as the top coat, and also not as glossy. I think its supposed to provide better (thicker) protection aka...

    D114 and Nanoskin Mitts

Thanks, I've been using Nanoskin mitts for years now and know how to clay/use them. I know the rubber is supposed to be somewhat sticky, I was just surprised that it reacted with the D114 in such a way that almost liquefied it. I like to roll up the mitts when done, and squeeze them out. When I...

    D114 and Nanoskin Mitts

Has anyone used this combo for claying? I recently did, mixing 1:128 of d114 I used it to clay a vehicle. The D114 seemed to affect the clay mitt by turning the rubberized areas SUPER STICKY to the point that it virtually stuck to itself and was almost impossible to separate. Even touching the...

    Update:Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer(Aerosol)

I was a little too late on this thread, but I had this same problem. A customer sprayed his headlights, rubber window trim, and various other black trim on his oxidized white Honda Van and DIDN'T TAPE OFF ANYTHING!!!! Me and 3 guys had to magic erase virtually the whole van to get that stuff...
