Steam cleaner? My buddy had nasty buildup around the lugnut area (neglected pre-owned BMW) and the steam cleaner made quick work of it. Then I followed it with my normal cleaning regimen. However, the buildup can be different in every case, but it could be worth a shot.

If I was going to spend any money to take a broad detailing course/learn in person, I would only spend money if Mike Phillips was the instructor. Regardless of what we were learning about. I would also consider spending money if Rupes offers some sort of course to learn with their whole lineup...

Hoytman: Tires are designed to push the browning to the surface regardless of using cleaners or not. Some bloom more than others--particularly tires that are meant to last longer. (SUV tires, truck tires, econobox tires...etc) Nearly every car has brown tires if they aren't recently dressed...

The best foam gun on the market is sold somewhere I can't mention on this forum and it's worth every penny. (It's more expensive than all the others) The foam gun is wonderful and you shouldn't even need to do a traditional 2BM.... Use the foam gun as your 'wash bucket'...and have 2 rinse...

You need to have it. Works on everything. Works in hot weather and cold weather. Works on hot panels. Works if over applied. It's my favorite product by far and I have used and still own way too many products. Try it on interiors as well! Very underrated for this part.

So this happens after every wash? If it does: 1. Are you following the recommended dilutions of the shampoos? 2. Are you using a spray wax/detail spray to dry? Also, are you saying it's tough to get rid of? (With the mention of using clay)

Until the lack of a LSP on new cars affects their bottom line, they won't care. ...and if it ever did affect it, they would push that expense onto the dealers anyways. I don't see the point and it won't ever happen.
