All of our shops use Dynabrade palm sanders, i have never used the two you mentioned so i can't compare them I will say i have had the same Dynabrade sander for at least 20 years and It's still going strong. Just make sure you have a large enough air compressor.

Dr Oldz experience with one step is the same as i had with it. The level of cut actually suprised me, and the finish was outstanding I really can't speak to durability because i topped it with FK 1000.

Hey mk9750. 1, yes paint to match doesn't always match, you will usually have 3+ alternates for 1 paint code. Orange peel is usually not a big deal, unless its a tri coat color. 2, behind your bumper cover you will usually have an impact absorber ( foam or plastic ) that can be damaged...

I would try a plastic razor blade, it may take a little work but it will come off. I have had one do the same thing before.

You are correct they are SS, and honestly i think you would have to put a clear bra type material on it or just polish it regularly, the SS insert scratches so easily its almost a no win situation.

I used the orange LC thin pro pads with my 21 MM da with great results. Your paint will dictate what type of pad is acceptable, do a test spot with both pads You may like the results of one pad better than the other.

Silicone will definitely create fish eyes in paint, but normally it will all be sealed in after the first clearcoat job has dried. I have had fish eyes come back coat after coat of clear, but that ended up being a bad pallet of clear that the paint manufacturer eventually replaced and paid...

Synthetic sealant, i can get 6 plus months out of FK 1000, I'm going to polish my car at least once a year so no reason to go with a coating.

Ditto to what Dr Olds said, the versatility of a rotary with all the pads and extensions make it a great tool.

My guess would be solvent pop, it could be wet sanded and polished out. If it's factory clear, be cautious you don't have many mils to work with.

I would go the plasti dip route, that way you could live with it for a while, and if you like it enough go with paint. I like the chrome on my car, but my car is ruby red.
