Today’s offering to the detail gods. This thing has cool factor to the nines. Washed, decon’d, clayed, and buffed it out with Blackfire One Step. Lastly, I polished out the aluminum mags with Blackfire metal polish.

I used to tow around my race car in the 1970s with one of these.

Personally if that were mine and I wanted to keep the originality but just clean it up a bit, I'd hit it with the comet cleanser treatment followed by a wipe with some high silicone, oily protectant.

I just can't see myself taking the time to decon, clay, buff, polish and wax something in that condition.

But that is coming from a bodyman/painter, not a detailer per se. And I'm certainly not putting down the effort or results, just giving my opinion on how I would approach such a project.
