A friend of mine recently bought this 2003 Tacoma. He had been looking for a Tacoma of this ilk, and this was one of the cleanest ones he could find. These trucks are rather desirable and good ones still hold their value.

Overall it was in good shape. The paint had swirls, but not horrendous. There were rids and some scratches here and there. It was 14 year old original paint though.

Ive corrected a car or two, and I am normally pleased with the results, and look at the car after Im done and say to myself, damn that looks good. But when we were done, and we pulled the truck out of the garage, we were both really blown away at the gloss we achieved.

We used Mckee's 37 Fast Compound with orange Lake Country Thin Pro pads, followed up with Fast Polish with White thin pro pads, and topped with High Def Sealant

McKee's 37 High Def Paint Sealant

The sealant is very thick, is orange in color, and smells pretty good. It goes on smooth and easy to spread. We let it sit 30 minutes and it wiped off effortlessly. The paint was VERY slick after we wiped it off.

I am not sure these pictures do the gloss justice. For a 14 year old truck, this thing looked DAMN GOOD! Needless to say I am going to have to try this sealant on something else as well!

Had no idea Tacomas were called Toyo Tacos. I thought it was a tire thread.

Those pictures absolutely do some justice to that shine and gloss! Beautiful work.

Looks GREAT!

What polisher?

Well, Ive heard people call Tacomas Tacos, and then I just got creative. Toyo, short for Toyota, nevermind :)

I've heard them referred to as tacos all the time. :)

+1 thought it was about tires lol great job on the truck though. How would you describe ease of correction on the toyota red paint?

To be honest, with the Mckee's Fast Compound, it corrected pretty easily. There were some rids that did not come out, and water etching on the hood, but with the gloss, they are hardly visible.

You just added $5k in value to this thing! lol..The "Toyota tax" is no joke on those trucks.
