So this is my ride.... I experiment with it.... A LOT to say the least...
This refers to not only detailing, but mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic as well. About a 2 years ago I did an experiment with Hobby Tint and a UV protectant on my tails to smoke them out...The outcome was great!!! Take a look:

That was until about 6 months later...all the tint faded and I just lost interest in even doing anything to correct it... This is what I was left with:

I didn't think much of it until my girl said "Honey your tail lights are disgusting..." Of course! She has become quite the expert since I finally corrected her headlights and paint... she could muster enough courage to make fun of my car :dig:

That single comment had propelled me into a frenzy :nomore: ... Busted out my scuff pad, 400, 800, 1500, and 2000 grit sand paper, diamondite cut and diamondite polish to start doing some work... It took forever!!! About 2 hours to complete both tails... they were a wreck....

The left side was just as bad, but after pausing to take pictures of the right, I just wanted to finish the left up and didn't take many pictures of it...

When I saw her again that night... naturally I asked for Feed back please and she could not believe how good they looked... I thought they looked pretty sweet as well!!! Anyway thanks everyone for taking a look at this, and I hope you enjoyed the story that caused me to go into my corrective madness!!!!

Looks really good man! Your title to this thread threw me off though lol! Thought you needed help! Great job man!!!

LOL sorry man... didn't mean to throw you a curve ball... just had to share my wonderful time with my own car lol

Thank Marc!!! Oh yea... the paint is on deck for some correction... I don't know why, but I guess the old saying that a doctor makes the worst patient holds true....

Good job Nate, now to get the swrils out of that paint.

Why dont you pick up a spray gun and some clear along with black paint?? Just mix some clear and once you are ready drop a few drops of black in the clear! And spray em and if they arent as dark as you wish! Drop a few more drops of black! And then once they are fully done to your desire... Spray two coats of just clear to seal them! Its really easy, if you dont feel like practicing on your own tailights just pick some up from a pick a part and try on those!
