'08 Mustang paint

Wow Tad that is awesome!!! No BSing this time.

I was in the military. I call everyone, sir. :dblthumb2:

I hear ya buddy, just messing with ya. I've recently reached that age where everyone seems to be calling me sir all of a suden. Damn "I'm to young to feel this damn old". Haha

Tad I like how your shots were taken close up in direct sun and not in a garage or far away shots in the sun. Garage shots and far away shots outside makes it look like people are hiding their work.

I'll 2nd 07 recommendation of WG twins vs XMT. Also if you don't have a stool with wheels to do the sides you may want to invest in one, help with your back and removes the need for crutches for a bit...

I have a Craftsman mechanic's seat that I've used for years when washing, claying and waxing. Best. Invention. Ever!

I agree with you 100% Dwayne. Pictures up close in direct sun shows the true condition of the paint. A picture of a car in the garage, far away sun shots, or sunset pictures just scream "defected paint". IMO some of those shots are ok to include and look cool, but for the real money shots, show me the sun :dblthumb2:

Tad, I've told you before but those shots deserve another shout out. Those are the best shots I've ever seen! Love those sun shots!

having used ccs pads for a little over two years now.... and recently trying out the hydrotech thin pads i can stress enough how well these new pads work!!! if you have not yet purchased the ccs or flats change your order to the hydrotechs and simplify you pad selections,

I would advise to not get the Mango towels. I got them and I was disappointed. They are paper thin not plush at all and just dont like using them as the edges seem to be pretty rough. I just got some of the Gold Cobra Deluxe jr towels and they are SOOOOO soft. I would only use the mango towels I have now on interior, wheels, engine.

Chris, have you ever used the original HT's? If so how would you compare the new ones to the original ones? I have not tried the new low pros yet, I have SO many of the original ones. However I do have a couple of the new ones Richard sent me to try out, just haven't had the opportunity yet. Looking forward to it though:props:
I also like the HT's for DA correction better than CCS pads, and the HT's do finish down oh SO VERY nicely...

Back to my issue, The Wolfgang Duo is 8oz each of the Total Swirl Remover 3.0 and Finishing Glaze 3.0, is this enough product to do the whole car? Joe the Detailer's Porsche project turned out really nice with the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0. What are the main differences in application, removal and performance compared to Souveran liquid wax?

If the swirls aren't too deep and are coming out easily, and if you're going to knock out the water spots on the horizontal surfaces using the Ultimate Compound then yes.

If it were me, I would rather have 16 ounce bottles on hand so you're sure not to run low on product and you'll have product on hand for any future work to your car.

Both products are liquid and you can apply them both by hand or machine. Both products need to dry before wiping off... a little goes a long way...

The Wolfgang uses German Engineered Super Polymer Technology and Pinnacle Liquid Souveran uses premium natural Carnauba blended with polymers. Both are top notch products, you can read more about them here,

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0

Pinnacle Liquid Souveran™ Car Wax

They are both "finishing waxes" or "finishing sealants", that is the should only be used on paint in excellent condition.

Compared to pics shown else where on the board, the swirls on my car don't seem as bad. Snapped these earlier today:

The water spots are on the horizontal surfaces, the rear spoiler seems to be the worst of them. I already have a bottle of Meg's Ultimate Compound in the cabinet. I'm also working within a budget, so cost is also a concern.

What is a recommended pad when using the Ultimate Compund with a D/A?
