I placed this in the off topic section because it is not a finished job but it seems to be a car of interest. I just had a meeting with a new client and snapped a few pictures of the car that we will be doing in 2 weeks. The client and I talked about what will be done to the car, the processes I will use and I covered some basics of detailing with him so that he would have a clear understanding of the work that will take place on his car. He and I are both confident of his understanding of what will take place. I told him this will take place over 3 days and we agreed on a price.
On to the car. Now i am not a Corvette guy so I don't know or remember all the names that he mentioned. The client describes the car as a 1000 HP Twin Turbo C-5 Z06 Lingenfelter corvette that he picked up for $50,000 and put an additional $30,000+ into. He mentioned the name of an Iranian guy that does some extreme Corvette builds. Anyway that guy built the car as it is now. This car is completely tuned using a laptop. Pretty impressive car IMO. The client said if he likes the outcome of the paint correction that he has a lot more work for me so a lot rides on this job. This car has apparently been featured in several magazines and videos.
Here are a few photos of the car, all of which show that I will have my work cut out for me.
The car is in this general condition paint wise.
He told me that there were only 40 sets of these wheels made.
These next 2 photos show the openings for the fresh air brake cooling ducts that blow fresh air directly on to the rotors and calipers.
Here are the fresh air intake filters situated where a license plate would normally be.
Here is a pic with the air intake cover installed on the car.
Another good shot of the paint condition.
Here is a couple shots of the engine bay. We agreed that we would get through the paint correction and then discuss getting the engine bay hand detailed as I do have other jobs lined up that interfere with spending a solid week on this car.
Overall I am pretty excited about working on such a cool car and very grateful to have the opportunity to grow my business with this new client. I will take lots of photos and post up a write up with photos, processes and products. Thanks for looking. TD
