i got my order today 5'5 LC flat foam pads . and 105 / 205 and some more microfiber towels. so of course i cant wait to see the difference between the 105 / 205 compared to UC / swirl x and the 5'5 ccs foam pads

i went out to the test car 1990 ranger that i previously did with UC / Swirl x / dcp / nxt and buffed half the hood and half the front fender (i previously did). and holly wow

we've owned the ranger for 10-12 years (fathers truck) never washed waxed always been a dark tan color even after i buffed it the first time (it shined up and got reflection back for the most part) . well the spots i did with the flat pads / 105/205 ... well hello trucks true color a very light tan a good 3 shades lighter :O LOL u can even see my stop line and its a clear line like day and night :O i hope u all dont get to mad that i dont have pictures cam's broke :( and my cell phone cam is nothing but blurriness i tried to get pictures with it

must say though 105 will take getting use to . but im happy :dblthumb2: *thanks to everyone that recommended it to me. and continue to help me some of u will probably post on this :P*

Meguiar's M105 and M205 are two great products manufactured by one of the oldest companies in the business. These products have a huge following and finish up beautifully...

When you get a chance post some photos! :dblthumb2:

A very good combo indeed, I think I need to start using M205 some more.
Mobile Detail it is hard to say exactly what pad to use with the products, it depends on what you are trying to acheive and the paint you are working on, I have used M105 with white and orange lc pads as well as green and yellow buff and shine and also Meg MF cutting pad. M205 I have used with black, white and orange lc pads

Most seem to like these 2 products so they are on my list for the next order.

only negative side to 105 is that it flashes quickly and dusts significantly. BUT IT WORKS:)

ive had the flash issue but not so bad on the dusting thus far . i normaly use the 105 with a yellow or orange flat LC pad. 205 with a white normaly.

After using UC for a while, I made the plunge and ordered the 105/205 pair.

I love the meg twins. They work great once you get used to the m105. I usually use an orange or green pad. Then use a white or red with the 205. Thanks for the tip sal.

Some say UC has close to the cut of M105. I find M105 to have a good amount more cut than UC.

okay so i was bored . so i did another half n half rebuff / not buffing on the mercury i did (diffrent car) to make sure 105 / 205 is as good as i thought it was at first. lets just say the mercury that i had previously spent 6-8 hours buffing out pass after pass with other products and swirls remained. so i tape off a small area hit it with the 105 / 205 and holly !@#!@@#! lol not a single defect . where i did befor looks like i never touched it its so swirld still. . LC flat pads over ccs and 105/205 over uc / swirlx lol oh lord i need to stop testing things ima end up broke cause now i wana order more 105/205 and more flat pads and some other goodies geez auto geek i was never the type to spend money now yall are taking all my money! LOL :)

i second that. due to the fact of my last post i used uc/ swirl x and compared to the 105/205 it looks like i never touched the car..

I had issues with my hood, roof, and trunk lid. Water spots and a hazy finish that I couldn't seem to eradicate. Following the suggestions of the guys here, I used 5.5 flat pads with the M105/205 combo and was floored by the result. I also spritzed with water to get a longer working time with the 105 phase. The 205 leaves a beautiful finish. I'm now a true believer.
