1963 Porsche 356B ‘S’ Super Cabriolet
Signal red/black interior and top
1.6 liter flat 4, ‘super 90’ 110HP
4 speed manual transmission
1 of 933 produced worldwide for this year

My client wanted this ‘almost’ perfect 356 in the best shape it could be in. It just received a complete restoration…except for the paint.
It is full of swirls; swirl city! A shame for such a special car, but I think I will be able to change its appearance!

The ‘details’:

Waterless wash with McKee’s37 N914.
Clayed with Griot’s medium mitt.
DoDo born slippery as clay lube.
Adam’s ceramic spray coating was used on the cabrio top.
DeFelsko PTG.
Scangrip lighting.
Flex 3401.
Rupes iBrid/nano.
Rupes mini/3”.
Misc. MF and foam pads.
Griot’s fast correcting cream.
Beta test polish.
Misc. MF towels.
22ple Mistico Elemento Forte was the LSP.
McKee’s37 high gloss tire dressing.
McKee’s37 glass cleaner.
McKee’s37 AIO leather cleaner/conditioner.
Metro vacuum.

Thank you for looking!

Now that is a COOL ride!!

Awesome work as always, Scott. AND you took some engine pics!!! You rock brother!! :)

BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!!

In some of the pics it almost looked red/orange/pinkish but outside....WOW! What a great color combo, did you get taken for a ride in it afterwards?

Simply MARVELOUS! You Rock! Beautiful work! Lucky guy to work on this beauty too! Was it a single stage paint? Or was it repainted (my guess)

Thanks everyone!!!

Of course some engine pics! LOL

One of my cameras makes some reds look orange! Dunno why, not much of a camera geek. It's an automatic so dunno why...Nope. No ride!

Base/clear respray.

Prin: :)

Not Impressed!!! :ban:

. . . . This gorgeous machine that has been perfectly detailed . . .

Isn’t mine.

Simply outstanding Scott. I did a 356 Cab and I have to say it was one of my favorite details.

One of my favorite cars of all time and that red pops now. Awesome job.

Thanks Tony!

LOL Aaryn!

Pat, a pleasure to work on as you know!

Thank you TN!

Nice work mate. Those cars can be tricky to work on. The only thing that's more time consuming than correcting them is doing PPF on them. Always a challenge with all the curves and the amount of trim and hardware that needs to be masked or worked around. The nice part is Porsche paint corrects and finishes down like butter. My favorite part is seeing the "glow" in the paint when all the work is done. Just look at that!

You do great work on some cool rides my friend. This is one of the nicer ones IMO. Very cool car. Nice job preserving a bit of history too Scott.
