Dear Fellow Forum Members,

I wanted to post some pics of a 1963 Split Window Vette I detailed for our local car show. I wasn't able to stay for the judging as I had a 911 waiting for me to detail. but several hours later I heard a rumble in my driveway and it was the owner with his Best of Show trophy. The owner truly loves his car and for good reason. I also had the pleasure of meeting Pete Tanzini - wonderful guy! It was an honor to have been entrusted to detail such an amazing and rare vehicle. Truly one of those days that reminds us why we are so passionate about our work.

- McKee's Waterless Wash (buckets of microfibers) - Washed twice
- Decon with Meguire's Clay and Pinnacle Crystal Mist as lub
- Polished twice with Griot's CC using GG6 and white LC ThinPro's
- Hand waxed with Pinnacle SSII
- All engine chrome removed and polished by hand
- Interior w/ McKees's 37 interior cleaner and surface protectant
- Glass w/ McKee's 37 Glass Restore Polish
- Wheel covers, bumpers and mirrors polished with Mother's Chrome Polish, and waxed with SSII

Thanks guys/gals for looking,
Scott

When was the car restored? Those exhaust and intake manifolds look brand new!

The car is awesome. I like that you washed it twice.

Great work and congrats on your work paying off!

Good eye! The intake and exhaust manifolds were just put back on the car last week. The engine block was out as well to paint in the original GM orange. As for the rest of the car - restoration has been the owner's labor of love over the last several years.

Cool, I can see why the owner loves the car. Almost a guarantee to continue to rise in value, what a bonus along with getting to drive and restore the classic. Hope you continue to get to detail the SWC in the future.

Stunning Vette and nice work. The owner looks beyond excited over the win !!!

LOL! Yes my wife said the same thing!!! Actually he was tired from a long day in the heat, and also recovering from a replaced hip so I am sure he was starting to feel it by the end of the day. He did leave me a message indicating how happy he was with the work - which was nice.

I will continue to profess my love for this car and the above pic is why! Not because of the split window, although I think its very cool and unique but rather how the whole rearend looks when you see it like that!!
