OMG!! My jaw just dropped and I'm at a loss for words.......:props:

WOW

So I already am a Mopar guy..... but then you go and make it shine like crazy.... My mind just exploded!

If that's a numbers matching original we are talking about $175k or more in value.

From what i was told, yes, this is an original numbers matching GTX.
I also am a Mopar guy, came to the States in 81 and bought my first car in Monroe, La. for $500.
What was it?............69 Charger, today you couldn't buy a hub cap for that money :)
No before pics taken, but i did the same simple one step. The shine came out remarkably though.

WOW! Very cool! Not my favorite year GTX, but a super cool and rare car none the less! Great job!

Just to point out because there's probably a lot of younger people that might not know a lot about muscle car engines...

This Plymouth has a true Hemi engine in it, you can identify it by the spark plug wires going into the middle of the valve covers.

In the hot rod world, it's very popular to put a Hemi engine into another car or even boat. When I used to run my Sanger Drag boat on the local lakes there were a few guys I raced that had Hemi engines in their boats and they came out of cars like the this 1968 Plymouth GTX

That's what Don, the owner of this 1934 Ford Pick-up did only he completely chromed it out, dressed it up and put a blower on it.

My dad had a 1967 GTX (light blue w/440 super commando) and had to sell it when I was born. All of my life I've wanted to buy a similar GTX, park it in Dad's driveway, and throw him the keys and say there...it's yours dad. I'm 39 and I still haven't given up on that dream...graduating college will certainly help me make this dream come true. I'd rather be able to give my dad a car like that than to be able to buy toys for myself. Then again, as much as he and I both love these awesome oldies, I'd rather have my dad than to own one of these cars.

I showed this thread to my dad. He said it brought back many good memories. Dad's laid up with a bad knee right now, but I think this thread made his day. Thanks for posting!!

I have always been partial to Mopars even though i have owned my share of camaros also.
