Incredible!
Amazing!
I'm completely impressed with your work to restore the finish on this car and make it worth of the GTO marque!.
Thank you also for stopping work, getting your camera and taking pictures to share with everyone here on the AGO forum, it's duly appreciated.
A couple of comments...
That's a great sign when you earn the trust of owners like cars like these.
It's hard to get the owners of cars like these to let anyone touch them let along take a machine to them. Good for you.
to most people, that is to the un-trained eye, this car probably looked perfect already. But you know how to LOOK or inspect a car and really determine the condition AND you know what it could look like with the right products, tools and techniques.
Excellent before and after and this one aspect, together with the paint and the convertible top makes for a "complete pictures" where the entire car looks like a show car.
Excellent.
As long as a person uses common sense and doesn't bring out the garden hose until AFTER the machine scrubbing is done, then it's complety safe to machine scrub a vinyl top with a simple orbital polisher like the Porter Cable and a Cyclo brush.
Nice work.
Now this is how a 1968 GTO should look!
Totally impressed.

Well done, both the detail and the documentation.
That conv. vinyl cleaned up nicely. The before and after photos are great.
Plus you got approval from Mike Phillips, that's worth it right there!
Wow. That's a beautiful job. Back in high school in the mid-70s, my friend had a '68 convertible goat. Great car.
