Well after tons of advice and help from you guys, and insanely patient tutoring from Mike I am finished with my first full project. My baby is looking brand new now.
To recap here is what I ran through :
1) wash with Carpro Reset
2) IronX decon
3) poly shave with the PC buffer and clay lube in lieu of clay. This was a dream. It cut hours off the job. Used a whole bottle of lube but it was worth it.
4) re cleaned with Carpro Eraser to remove any clay lube and contaminant.
4.5) fully masked all vents, trim, and weather stripping with 3m green auto body masking and blue vinyl 3m masking. Took forever...
5) orange LC pad with Wolfgang TSR 3.0
6) eraser IPa to remove residue
7) black LC pad with Wolfgang finishing glaze
8) thurough IPA/eraser wipe down to take it back to sterile
9) final Cquartz coating on EVERYTHING. The very last drop finished my last rim. Perfect amount for such a big car.
Anyway, here she is. No swirls not nicks, just pure factory paint from 2010... Nice I think
