2 new to me brushes.

Speed Master Wheel Brush


Deluxe Tire & Bumper Brush, rubber brush, tire brushes, stiff brush, detail brushes

Got to use 2 new brushes today during my wash today. Speedmaster wheel brush and Carand bumper & tire brush. I have the Speedmaster jr. but the ZR2 wheel barrels require a bigger brush. Enter the Speedmaster wheel brush. Love it. It cleaned the wheel barrels with ease. And i had no issue with spatter as some have reported. Carand bumper & tire brush. I was looking for a tire brush that was less brutal on the hands. I have the Mothers and the tuff shine tire brushes. Both good brushes. The Carand knocked it out of the park. I loved using this brush. The way the handle is designed makes it easy on the hand. And the bristles are the perfect stiffness for the tires. Left the tires clean and ready for Duragloss #253. Right tools for the job makes all the difference. Very satisfied with these two brushes.rops:[SUB][SUP]

Love the Speed Master, but not a fan of the Carand..ergonomics seems awkward. The Tuf Shine brush is much better imo.

Just can’t pull the trigger on the speedmaster. Worried it will scratch wheels.

Interested in the carrand though. Figure with ergonomics it’s a love or hate brush

Never had issues with scratching but with tight clearance between wheel barrel and brake caliper, they splatter so much I almost never use mine. Wheel woolies are way better. Maybe if you have lots of room in there then these would work well.

I have plenty of space in the openings of my Ram wheels, but I just didn't like the SpeedMasters as well as my wheel woolies.

This has always been my favorite wheel brush.

No sling, no scratches, cleaning ability, fits between the tightest spokes, and only costs $10 bucks.
I just wish it would last longer, but at $10 bucks it’s no sweat.

I got the woolies and the work well just was thinking this for between caliper and wheel. Medium woolie still to big and smaller one doesnt reach back far enough. Eldo, where you get that brush?

16 Inch Wire Wheel Brush

It comes in 2 sizes, I do have them both but most of the time I only have to use the large 1. The smaller 1 is handy because you can bend it and use it to scrub behind the spokes of a wheel and in between that narrow spot between the caliper & wheel if you really want to.

Both are bendable, but I don’t bend the large 1.

How soft are the bristles on the Carand brush?

I used the Mother's version for a while and did not find the bristles to be very soft. I'm currently using a generic one found at a big box store and the bristles are really soft, yet it still works great on outward facing wheel surfaces.

As for the Speedmaster, I don't know how I'd live without that one. It's amazing for getting into the barrels of the wheels. The occasional splatter doesn't bother me at all.

The Carand is stiff. Not meant for wheels. I still use the Mothers wheel brush for the wheels. For the price and quality it can't be beat. If you looking for a different wheel brush, the boars hair looks nice.
