Just when I was about to throw up, you put in an "after" pic and made it all better! Phew, you made me tired and I just looked at the pics....... WELL DONE, looks much better
Thanks!! The owner was very happy with the results. It was a very tiring two day.
Wow, that car looked like it had not had anything done to it in the 12 years ...

.
Hopefully the new owner will enjoy it!
Thanks Bill! I think you might be right.

rops:
Wow that looks amazing. My dad has a old Subaru Impreza and its very dirty. Probably dirty as your before picture. Nice work
Thanks! Your looking at 5+ hours just for interior. Have fun. Im the MAN
Nice job! Love the cassette deck in the console; sure brings back some memories.
Thanks! I remember when they were just getting phase out.
Great turn around Gary. The whole vehicle was Trashed but you really brought it back to life.
Thanks Stephen! I hope the owner will get a buyer asap.
I just dont understand how people can let their cars go so long like that. Its just nasty!!
I worked in a body shop, and even though the customers were told to remove everything from their vehicles, they hardly ever did.. How many of you pros have found roaches in cars? lol
Yeah I couldn't drive in a dirty car. I try to vacuum my car at least once every two weeks. I never found any roaches in any of my detail and I hope I don't. lol
Indeed a great turnaround.
Did you notice that the carpets seem to get dirtier as you cleaned them ? Just wondering as I've witnessed this scenario with neglected carpets as the impacted dirt just kept coming forward.
Thanks!! I did have trouble with their floor matts. I should of probably power washer them, but I forgot. But everything else came out pretty good. I just went over each area a few more time, to assure I got everything out.
My sincere congratulations! :dblthumb2:
I don't know how much she payed you (if at all) but I'm sure she will get it back X 10.
Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks!! I think right now it still for sale. I hope she sells it soon.
Man Gary that thing looked like its been in the junk yard for the last 5 years!
Great Job MY Friend!
Thanks Tim! I don't know how someone can drive in that condition.
8 hours on just the interior???
The car looks great, dude. You did a great job. :xyxthumbs:
Thanks! Yeah the interior was one of the dirtier ones I done.
Fantastic turnaround. I am sure client will be wowed!!
Thanks! The owner was very happy. And said she want me to take care of her other car.
We once found tampons...at least they were new....:wow:
Ok that being said, man what a turn around! Ive done interiors like that...just removing the garbage makes such a HUGE difference, but then you uncover the tragedy on the underside....you did a great job removing all those stains man. The funny part is...you did such a good job on the inside that not much has been said about the nice restoration on the outside!
It should make for a quick sale (if she still wants to sell it). Great job Gary and thx for posting it on the FB group.
Thanks Wills! Removing the big stuff made the car look a lot better, but there were still lot of stains and dirt that needed attention.
The outside came out pretty good for an AIO. Cleared out the clear coat and brought back some shine.
Another question OP: did the lack of prior detailing add to the polishing? Or did the layers of accumulated grime 'protect' the finish? Hope that this question makes sense.:xyxthumbs:
I was surprised at condition of the paint. Overall it was pretty good for a 12 year old car that barely got waxed. The hood was a different story. Before washing and claying, the hood looked fine. I then realized that there were crow feet everywhere on the hood.
