Thank you, we spent probably some where between 20-30 hours total.I love it. Looks like a new truck now. How many hours did you and your son put into the truck? I know that is a lot of hard work right there. Good bonding time with the boy too.
Thank you very much, we have a lot of fun working on projects like this (however he still loves his video games too).Ok nice try guys you took pics of your old truck then went out bought a new truck and took after shots of it......
Seriously though what a great turn around it really does look like a new truck great job. Its really great seeing a father and son work on something like this together. more kids need to put down the ipods and such and get out there and get there hands dirty. great example.:dblthumb2: my favorite pic was your son on his back polishing that tailpipe he was into it. again nice job guys :dblthumb2:
Thank you for the kind words Mark!I've said it once, and I'll say it again, you have some SERIOUS skills!rops: VERY impressive work, Tad!!!
Thank you, my pleasure!wow dark horse!! Truck is beautiful in every sense! Inspiring detail for sure!! Thanks for sharing!:xyxthumbs:
Thank you for the compliment. He wishes, his set of wheels is an 1982 Datsun we corrected last month.you took a beater and made it into a garage queen.....i believe jr. was working hard on his future set of wheels.
Thank you Shane, appreciate the compliments. Ya Andrew is pretty dedicated to making things shiney!!!Poor truck. Subjected to such abuse. Shamey, shamey! :nomore:
J/K! Seriously, you did an awesome job! Most impressive! :dblthumb2: Can't believe Andrew spent 2-3 hours on the exhaust tip and the nerf bars. He has more dedication than I have, LOL!
Thank you my friend, we appreciate the kind words. Yes Andrew is becomming a fine young man who really enjoys detailing and trying to do his very best...I barely use icons when i post (except for the :welcome: because i'm lazy to move to the "advanced" window), but this detail session and write-up definitely deserves :applause:
:urtheman: :applause:
Steps are thorough and highly descriptive, and the pictures are very very good!!! I'm still sitting here thinking of a better word for great or awesome! And that's a fine looking young man helping you out there, it's great to see you share quality time and sharing the same addiction - i mean passion!![]()
Thank you. Hard to say for sure the total amount of time we spent, as we were only able to work on it a few hours here and there. Plus it is parked outside and it has rained many times since we started, so we had to re-wash, and even reseal many times becuase of the rain in between sessions. Probably between 20-30hours... Oh ya and the Ford you see in the back already had it's turn a couple of months ago...Here is a link to it's correction. Thanks again!Incredible.....Now its the Ford's turn I saw in the one the pics.
I may have missed it, but how long from start to finish did it take you to complete that transformation?
Thank you for the compliment and yes they are a great truck, (for a gas truck lots of power, smooth ride, reliable, and good looks)...Thanks again!awesome work! makes me miss my ram! how long did it take you?
Thank you for noticing Bobby, appreciate the kind words!Awesome job Tad! The Dodge Ram looks great.
Yes Mark, always wet the surface prior to spraying ARO on, as it is a water activated product. Also, always do a test spot in an inconspicuous place, as it is very strong.Tad,
When using ARO, did you wet the surfaces prior to spraying it on?
Thanks Richard, we appreciate it. Ya, Andrew is a great helper and we enjoy working on cars together...Oh ya, (thanks a lot); of the two pictures you like best, both are things that Andrew polished...lolAwesome job! It's nice to see your son helping out. I don't know if I like the grille pictures or the exhaust tip pictures better? :buffing:
Great Job, How long did it take you?
LAWL at Dana and the "pos" jab at the Griot's polisher. Too bad you never got around to getting on that 335i here in Lynchburg, he was EXTREMELY appreciative of the work we did to make it almost flawless. Anyway, onto Tad.
Tad....WOW man! Great write-up and turn-around. Your write-ups make me jealous and ashamed of my own write-ups.You and your son do amazing work.
I'd let you two detail ANY of my cars sir.
OH, and I agree about the polisher wars comment you made Tad...I'm done with them as well. I'll use what works for me and keep my opinions to myself. Doesn't solve any problems to argue about it anyway.![]()
Wow what a re-con job. Nice work guys!!![]()
Do you have any suggestions for this guy...
He let me take pictures of it, cause I told him that he had a nice looking Truck.
