2005 Land Rover LR3

Thanks again everyone! Wow! Some nice comments!! Yes, the glass was etched from when he used it out west in less than ideal conditions.

I would do the same as pdqgp-ceriglass and their rayon pad. The next time it is in I will attack that as well as some heavier/deeper scratches that were left.

I have about 13-14 hours into it.

Absolutely fantastic work.

You couldn't tell the paint had flake in it until after you were done!

Excellent work. I have an '06 in white that's a little neglected. Will get to it in the next few weeks.

What did you use on the bumpers and plastic wheel arch trim? Duragloss 271 working well for me, doesn't get them deep black - more dark grey. DG 252 gets them darker, but a little too shiny for me. I have some Blackfire Trim/Tire stuff on the way - will see what that does. The stuff that adds color has all been pretty bad. So far the DG is working well. Just want a little more black.

Thanks again everyone!!!

Rippy: Blackfire is what I used!

what did you use on plastics, like the fender flares and bumper.was thinking gtech or black wow pro. This thing is hammered.starting it on Tuesday and I have free range of using any coating or coating for trim. What did you use for trim? Thanks.

GSKR: I cleaned them with APC then an IPA wipedown. I then hit them with BF wet diamond all finish paint protection. I know it's not a 'usual suspect' for trim/plastics/cladding, however, I have had excellent results with it as of late. It really darkened and brought them back for me. (I was concerned about it 'staining' or turning the trim/plastics white, however, that is not the case. Just a nice 'restored' look to it)

If it was in the budget I would have used Solution Finish and or a coating like Dlux.

The reason I asked was because I have solution finish and it's more of a dye.Afraid because of it not matching.I will try bf tanks.

OK, cool. SF is good stuff. Yeah, very much a 'dye' product, it would definitely darken and possibly change the look of the plastic panels.

Hope you like the BF and it works for ya!
