2009 Corvette Z06
Was contacted by the owner to come inspect the car for a paint correction. The owner takes great care of the car and the car in great shape when we showed up. A few swirls, but mainly just light scratches from improper washing/drying. We did several different test spots on the hood and opted to go for a two step correction. We went with M105/Flat Orange Pad and M205/Flat White Pad. LSP was Fuzion.
Pictures under halogens showed minimal imperfections so only a few will be included. Overall I feel the finish gained a lot of depth.

Still beading after first wash of Dawn and APC. Took several washes to get prior protection off.

Most of the car still showed a fair amount of orange peel but the owner doesn’t mind it and doesn’t want it corrected.
I’m sure I have forgotten something. Took about 6-7 hours with two guys working with two machines so about 12-14 total man hours. This is my first write up, but from now on intend to do write ups of my work. Please share any comments or questions.

Holy smokes! I'd say you had one satisfied customer when you were finished. It came out fantastic! :props:

Thanks for the photography and great writeup! :props:

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you charge him for the work?

Looks GREAT!!! :props:

Paint looked to be in pretty good shape before polishing, which makes it SO much easier with a black Corvette. Heavily swirled Corvette paint requires a rotary, IMO.

Really good work guys-it looks great! The yellow sign out by the road in one of the pictures; is that your sign you put up when detailing at someones house or was it theirs? One other quick question, well two, dis the customer supply the water and what type of foamer did you use? Foam gun or cannon? Just curious. Again really great job!

very nice, why did you use the leather conditioner, thought the seats are coated, does the conditioner still work? I have been told not to bother with the leather cleaners and conditioners. Let me know how it works for oyu, thanks Scott

did you tape out the side markers and emblems or just clean them out afterward? Looking to do mine soon and just wondering, thanks Scott

Looks fantastic! I'm beginning to think that Fuzion really does bring a little something extra to the table. Anyway, great job again!

It turned out really nice. Nice work man,

Thanks!

Thanks! Before seeing the condition of the paint, I was thinking I would use surbuffs and alot more time then 12-14 hours.

Yes that yellow sign in the road is a sign we put up for passerybys. The owener supplied a water source. We used a foam gun, not the one hooked up with a pressure washer.

Here is a better picture of our roadsign, a customer made it for us.

Emblems, and vents and area around headlights got taped. Then were carefully brushed out during final rinse.

Its hard to find something bad to say about Fuzion, although with the proper prep work (as with most things) the final result will look great with alot of LSP's

It felt as if the seats benefited from the conditioner. What you said may be true, to be honest though I'm not certain.
