2010 Ford Taurus SHO

AND UGLY. Especially compared to the older versions. :)

I'll clarify my opinion a little more. The BACK end is horribly UGLY. The Front is not that bad. 4,400 lbs. is ridiculous.

I was hoping for a bigger version of the new Fusion. I really like the looks of the newest Fusion.

Not liking anything on the Taurus.

And that dash instrument cluster.......YIKES!

I just wish I could have driven it.

I got to drive it a month ago. Actually, I got to drive it for four days in a row. :righton:

I was one of the "hired hands" during a Ford Media Event that was held here locally.

All I can say is, "I want one!!!!!!"

lets keep this civil all ... after all we are only talking about a Ford product (smiles) !!

I miss my '93 SHO. It was one of the most fun cars that I've ever owned. The Yamaha powerplant was simply amazing. Great styling, clean lines and a great sticker price as well.

This new SHO could still take some styling ques from its older brothers. The backseat bench looks short and the back rest looks too upright, IMO. The gauge cluster looks crampped as does the drivers seating area. And as someone else stated, when you opened the hood and saw the Yamaha engine you couldn't help but be impressed.

I agree!! :iagree: Too heavy, too expensive. A Taurus of any kind @ $40K plus, eegardless of how many HP's or turbos it has, is way out of whack. It does have AWD, but stil.

What's an Impala SS go for? A lot less.........

See ya :)

What it lists for and what it sells for could be way far apart just like current MSRP's on any vehicle. It's still a buyers market for the most part.

tell that to all the dealers I have been trying to buy a used daily driver from in the last month. They are willing to live off of dealer front money versus selling a unit at a little profit and move unit. One foot out the door and still looking for lobster for dinner :D

Possibly......................but, with the MSRP of a well equipped SHO at $42K+ (I'm still stunned) the discount would have to be gigantic and not so likely on a brand new intro with this hype. Demand may be up, but supply will be limited.......for price and for CAFE.

See ya. :)

Hey, Killr,

Did you ever get that DD for your commute  ??

BTW, what's the cost per pound for real Maine lobster in FL these days?? :) That's gotta be "gigantic" too................... ;)

Tell me you bought a car?!?!?!?! :Picture:

See ya :)

If you want a new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury, let me know. I can also get very good deals on Nissan, Infiniti & Mercedes Benz.

BTW - Here are some more pictures of the 1997 SHO I had.

The new Taurus considered a Luxury car and with things like heated/cooled seats, navigation, 42 way adjustable seats, paddle shifters, etc I would def pay 42k for it. This is meant to compete with much higher priced cars and I would own one of these before some 5-series Bimmer.

My hat is off to you. I know for sure that I wouldn't pay that much for a domestic car. Well, at least not for that car. If it were a Vette, Viper, then I might consider it. As much as I loved my SHO, the quality of the interior wasn't very impressive. Just about everything in it was plastic and towards the end of my ownership everything started falling apart, both cosmetically and mechanically. There are only a couple of new vehicle interiors that leave me with a good impression (domestic). These are the Corvette and the Cadillac CTS-V. The CTS-V's IMO has to be the best interior that I've seen in a long time. I love that car!! Time to play the lotto.Im the MAN

Or an MB E Class.

I personally like the new SHO. I dont think gold is a good color for it.. at all.. Now put it in black or red, soem nice black or gunmetal rims on it, lower it just a smidge...

It would be one nice ass car. TT v6, which I bet with some simple mods will be up to 400hp or more.. Pretty good amount of car for your money.

You know I've been impressed with the interiors from the new domestics since about 2008. My superduty has a great interior (about 10x better than the 02's) and I recently went and looked at the 2010 mustang and the interior was also great. I would not base my thoughts on an interior from a 1990's model car as my dad's 08 Tahoe has a great looking Interior too.

I can't wait until people start chipping/exhausting these things SHO's, I'm sure they are going to be beasts. Do they really weigh 4400 pounds?

Yeah they are heavy.. We do have to remember these aren't like the old SHO. It IS a luxury performance car.

They look alright to me, much better the the old taurus body style imo.
