Received a call from a customer today. He has a 2011 BMW 550 in white. He tells me that he thinks he messed up his hood, so I asked him to come over to look at it. So he came over and we went through his process. I dont believe anything he did should have stained the paint. Yet it did. He hand washed it, clayed the paint, used a paint cleaner by hand, then used the Zymol. He said that the parts that were stained were where the Zymol was applied a little heavier. He said that the wax sat on the paint just long enough to wax around the car, less than an hour. The stain is in the paint. If you use a light and look at the stain you can see where it has raised the paint slightly. He had a friend try and compound it and nothing happened. I tried a small test spot with some Menzerna and nothing. This is twice now I have see a stain like this on a white BMW. The first time was what looked like oil had splashed up on a bumper and stained it. Same situation where it was IN the paint, not on it. Anyone else run across this????
