2011 VW Routan

Today I detailed a 2011 VW Routan (6 hours total). I did everything but paint correction. I will list the AutoGeek products I used as I go along. If you care about what else I used, PM me and I'll tell you.

First up, less assess the "damage".

Here is the plasti-dipped front end that protected the car this winter.

Starting to peel

All gone

Driver's side floor mat

All 4 cleaned (CG's NONSEnSE 20:1)

Cleaning the leather (OTC product)

Camera didn't pick up the 50/50 too well

All seats got the same treatment and then were conditioned.

Don't know what this is but the wheel cleaner didn't do a thing about it

Now for the extra dirty back wheels:

Unfortunately, even after 3 applications and agitations, this was left over.

All Clean + on foam setting

Strip 2 bucket wash (car shampoo + All Clean +)

Drying time (CG drying towel)

After the wash

Just the hood (CG's fine grade clay bar + ONR at lube dilution)

Before clay, I used IronX soap gel at 4:1 and it worked well on the paint.

Paint then got detail spray and a sealant.

I work at a VW dealer. They can really hog them up. I've seen them come in that you didn't want to touch anything.
