2012 Acura TSX SE

I just googled Nikon d60 looks like a really nice camera Big money too lol I'm looking for a nice camera under 500 got any suggestions?

I really like the TSX! Yours looks great. Silver is THE best color, IMO. ;) However, it's so very hard to add depth!!!

LOL... thanks Mark. But I wonder why Silver is your favorite? Biased much? ;)

But yeah, hard to add depth, but very easy to keep clean. For a DD, I think it's a no brainer. Also, in the sun, the flakes pop really easy.

Great car. I love my 2011 Acura TL. Acura is a good deal for the money.

Thank you! I looked at a TL too, and tho I loved it, it was hard to justify the 46k msrp :( with all the tech goodies... plus lower mileage. Although I would LOVE one.

thanks! The D60 is old. I have had the camera for 4 years now I think. But she still does the job. She just lacks AEB (auto exposure bracketing) which allows me to take multiple exposure shots (for HDR) automatically. But that's ok, manual is just fine. I have my remote trigger.

For you, I'd recommend a D3100 or D5100. But you can't go wrong with Canons too.

Nah, not biased at all.

I agree, for a DD, you absolutely cannot beat silver. For a non-daily driver, any dark color is the way to go! They say that Kona Blue is pretty nice! ;)

Couldn't agree more. Yeah, I haven't washed/detailed her in almost a week, and I'm sure it's dusty as heck... but do I SEE the dust? heck no. She still looks like I just detailed her :) My stress level just went WAYYYY down. But someone tell me, why oh why, did I agree to get my MINIVAN (also daily driven (DD'd) by wife) in black????

Beautiful car! And congrats on the new purchase :)

Thanks Shawn... am loving it so far. She is getting clear bra'd today.

Congrats on the new ride!!! :dblthumb2:

I just purchased the same car in Bellanova White Pearl, but with the 6spd. ;)

I take delivery 5/2 and I'm flying down the KS to pick her up. :)

After seeing you pics I think I'm going to have to get the spoiler too! :props:

Rasky CONGRATS to you too! So far, I am loving it. What I love the most is the composed, luxurious, plush, and quiet ride... on top of that, I've been getting 32-ish mpg on the highway. Much better than the advertised 31 on the EPA sticker. I know some folks on my acura forum are getting 34. Nothing like under promising and over delivering. Sign me up. :)

edit: I have a 2012 Accord Base LX as a loaner right now (Tori getting clear bra'd), and though it's not bad, one can really tell how much Acura steps up from Honda. Even though they're the same brand/company, the choice of materials in the Acura and the level of build quality (sound deadening, etc) is so much better.

I have no doubt you will love yours. Have you owned honda's/acura's in the past? We are honda fans for sure.... and this is my 2nd acura.

Oh and btw, yes a wing spoiler is a must. Yours is a special edition (SE) too right? IMO, with all the body spoilers it comes with, it exudes sportiness, so the wing spoiler is a must. Am surprised it didn't come it with in SE guise automatically. It's a definite must-have.

p.s. BWP will look great too. My Z was white (not sure if you remember)... I miss that color sometimes too :)

Yep, she's an SE (6spd only available on SE). I fell in love with the SE interior at the auto show and had to have one. I spent some time tracking down the color I wanted at a good price.

I'm a big Honda/Acura fan and I've owned many over the years. The two below are the only ones I've bought new though.

'08 TSX, just sold it two weeks ago. ;)

Rasky, HOLY moly. I tell you what, it is just SO nice to see pics of other people's cars. That is, other people who KNOW how to take care of their vehicles. You know what I mean? It's just very refreshing. Your vehicles look fantastic, coming from a detailer to another detailer :)

(I get tired of seeing other people's photos during the buying process of their dirty/tired vehicles... imo, it really takes away from the buying process, at least for me. Heck, even newer vehicles on dealers lots look horrid.)

Btw, you had two reds, I'm surprised you didn't opt for Milano Red in SE? I almost got that, but I had to consider the DD aspect :( and the wifey driving it... must be auto. (my 5.0 is 6 speed manual for sure of course) Tell you what though, am REALLY enjoying the paddle shifters on the TSX. Very responsive.

You will love the 6speed. Reviewers claim it's the best front wheel drive manual tranny available.... sans the S2000 (no longer available).

edit: Just had to throw this in... driving the 5.0 and Tsx back to back, is definitely quite amusing.

I drove Marilyn (my 5.0) yesterday for first time in a WEEK's worth of driving Tori (my TSX). The difference between the Acura and the Stang is NIGHT and DAY. It's like..... eating a fancy Italian seafood risotto for $50 a plate, to a 16 oz Ribeye, thrown on the grill, warmed 30 seconds on each side, and plopped on your plate, RARE. I think you guys know which metaphor applies to which vehicle.

LOL. I know exactly what you mean. ;)

I loved the Milano Red but I just don't have the time to keep my DD as clean as I'd like now and white is much easier to take care of. I'll probably just put on some Opti-Guard and call it a day. :xyxthumbs:

I loved my '08 but hated that it was an auto. When I bought it the '09's were already out and they didn't have any 6spd's left in that color combo. Had it been a manual I probably would have kept it. She went to a good home though. ;)

Thanks alko! I was once again thinking about another black car, but for a daily, I wisened up:) do you have pics of your black tsx?

Rasky and Sport...I'm a HUGE Honda fan. My pops had a 96 Accord EX, I had an 03 Accord EX, an 08 Accord EX, and now a 2010 TSX. I will always own a Honda. I originally wanted the TL prior to picking up the TSX, but the interior of the TL bugged me. For some reason it looked alittle cheesy. Rasky...see if they can throw in the wheel locks and mud flaps in for free99.

Sport...here are some pics of my car:

Chad, what's up with everyone getting new Acura's? Did you and Cooperider get a package deal? Now I want to trade my 2011 ZDX in just to join the 2012 club!

Ed...don't get rid of the ZDX! I love that ride!

That ZDX is gonna cause a divorce. We sold the Panamera because the wife found it ugly and too powerful. Ok, I can deal with that. She saw the ZDX and fell in love. All is right in the world. Now she has a complex about the Acura since she has never seen another one on the road. Hell, I haven't either. She thinks she bought some inferior car that nobody wants or it's a POS.

Yeah she's trippin!!! I loved....LOVED the fact that when I bought my car back in December of 2010, I didn't hardly see ANY TSX's on the road. Now I see them alot and THAT pisses me off.

wow nice cars gentlemen. Yeah Acuras, FTW. The ZDX I have never seen in person, and luckily, where I live, Acuras aren't that common, so, so far, I've only seen 2 other TSX's, both in Grigio or Graphite metallic.

Alex, how is Acura black paint? Even with careful washing technique do swirls come back easily? On my TSX the grigio tends to hid light swirls really well.

Hmm I'll take a look into them would be nice to have a camera that takes half dec pix and Can show off my 2012 suzuki kizashi sls new car

Alex,

Unfortunately the factory mud flaps will not fit on the SE, or any TSX with the OEM body kit. :(

LOL. It is kind of funny how we both sold our current Acura's for new ones at the same time. Sounds like the makings for a good collaboration article! ;)

My wife has a second gen RL and looked at the ZDX when I was at the dealer. She loved it as well but it's a little to pricey new. Dealer said the don't make too many of those and my wife actually like the rarity of them. ;)

Anyone see the new RDX? Its a big change exterior and interior. Lots of cool stuff that comes standard.
