This car was brand new, and luckily the owner is very well educated when it comes to detailing. He made sure the car was never touched or washed by the dealership...he pulled the plastic off himself.

The owner contacted me about a week before the work was performed, he had vehicles Opti-Coated in the past, and for the type of care he takes of his vehicles, and to achieve the look he was going for, we decided on CQuartz FINEST instead. I am 1 of only 2 authorized installer in NJ...the other being Greg Gellas at Signature Detailing in Hillsborough, NJ...so for you North Jersey people, he is your man to go to. For FINEST in South Jersey, I have you covered.

Anyway, the owner prepped the car for me! It was washed and decon'd for me when I got there. I was able to inspect the bare paint and we noticed very minimal damage, mainly 4 straight-line scratches on the trunk deck, some minor scratching on the rear-driver's side door, and the B pillars had typical damage.

Since the damage was so minimal, I was able to one-step the car with M205 on tangerine HT pads on my Rupes 15. I did the pillars and smaller areas with a 3" DA and tangerine HT pads as well. The deeper scratches took more than one pass...but M205 is strong enough to produce some cut...but it finished down 100% perfect on this paint, as it usually does. I reach for M205 more than any other polish these days.

Anyway, after a full eraser wipedown, FINEST was applied, 2 thick coats, using all 50mL of the bottle. The gloss was phenomenal.

On to the pictures!

When I arrived:

The deep scratches on the trunk(There were 4 perfectly in line, we think it's from the plastic being applied...it has to be a machine with how consistent the scratches were.

Corrected:

The damage on the rear door:

Removed:

B-pillar damage:

50/50:

Corrected(about 90% correction...the paint is thin in these areas, we weren't going to compromise the integrity to chase deep defects):

EVERY spot is cared for equally. The sun may never hit these spots...but they got just as much attention as any other portion of the vehicle.

Corrected:

Applying CQuartz FINEST:

All done! The gloss on the white is POPPING!

Thanks for looking!

You know its hard to make white look good but you did it for sure, no doubt about it! Love the calipers on that car, nice to see BMW finally offer upgraded brakes on their cars, including pure "M" cars as well.

I'm glad you got the business but since the owner is so versed on detailing kinda surprised he himself didn't do the work, too busy I take it?

Once again, GREAT job to make that white POP:dblthumb2:

Good job!

Door pillars and under the rear view is new to me. The door pillars are usually a tape and not paint for some companies.

I wouldn't say they are a noticeable upgrade from a performance standpoint. They just finally started making them look nice. The stock brakes on any BMW are outstanding. The Carbon Ceramics will rip your face off if you stomp on them.

Evening,

I like what you've done and the way you've showed it, very much.

Congratulations,

Thanks for sharing.

Kind Regards.
