Swapped my stock 18/19 5 spokes for a set of z06 style gloss black 19/20s with fresh dsw 06+ tires

Very nice. I personally like the gloss wheels against the contrast of your dip.

2+ year plastidip checkup
Still looks awesome
Still gets a ton of attention

The door handle/open area is showing some wear on the driver side otherwise all good.

Products used
Avalanche gray base coats
Satin extra lime color coats
Dip Armor Clear Coat

I got mixed comments when I posted that I was going to plastidip my corvette.

Plastidip and vettes don't go together
It will fall off in 6 months
Etc

10/10 would recommend and I want to do it again. Very fun DIY project.

I've used Plastidip on a spoiler and wheels. Worked well for those applications. I wouldn't do an entire car that sits outside 24/7. Eventually dirt will embed into the plastidip. If it's kept inside and maintained, it should work well.

This has clear coat and ceramic coated too

My dipped truck sits outside 24/7. It's at 3 years.

Here is the truck
3 years
Outside 24/7
No ceramic coat
It does have their dip armor clear coat

Zero issues at 3 years


Their tech has come a long way over the years.

For me- one of the coolest threads. The results look great. It is a textbook case of you get out of it what you put into it. Really glad to hear how well it is holding up for you.
