Had a great opportunity to work on a new 2015 Chevy SS. LS3/6 Speed in Perfect Blue Metallic. The owner took the liberty of replacing all the factory Chevy badges with authentic Holden badges. Makes the car really stand out.

Not too much was needed on this beauty.

Wheels cleaned with iron-x then sealed with Hydro2.
Tires cleaned with tuffshine and protected with Blackfire total eclipse tire dressing.
Bugs removed with PB bug squash
Washed with Blackfire car wash soap
Paint decontaminated with nanoskin fine mitt and iron-x.
Polishing was done with 3401, white flat pad, Menzerna pf2500.
Prepped with Blackfire coating prep spray.
Pinnacle black label v2 applied to the paint.

Few before shots upon arrival.

PB bug squash doing its thing.

Not much to show during the polishing since the car was well kept. So we will skip right to the finish product.

Nice job. I like the holden badges on it.

Beautiful, clean, very well detailed!

Great pictures and results speaks for themselves, a pleasure watching your thread. Fingertip over license plate was cool!

Can you please tell how you liked PBL v2? Thank you so very much in advance.

Kind Regards.

Tato!!!! Great to see you on here! Hope you are doing well and getting back to normal. Thank you for your kind words.

I have had great luck so far with the PBL V2. Honestly can't comment yet as to longevity because I have done 4 cars in less than a month with it. As far as application goes its pretty easy. In the Florida heat you have to work in small sections as the product flashes quickly. High spots are easily wiped off. And as you can see the gloss is amazing.

Beautiful work Justin! That blue looks incredible.

Thanks Mike. Nick from AG stopped by to snap some pictures and he said the same thing.

Very nice! Car looks great! I will agree: the badges make it very unique and stand out more. #like

I got a chance to see this car in person yesterday and WOW, Justin did an outstanding job. I don't think I've ever seen blue paint look as good.

Justin was nice enough to let me snap a few photos using my DSLR. I'll post them very soon. :)

First off - beautiful work mate. :props:

Tell me, do you guys get these as a Chevy? (probably really obvious you do) Are they any different to this apart from the badges? Like your coupe (sorry, I think its a Pontiac GTO over there?) over here in NZ the front is quite a bit different & is called the Monaro.

I guess I never thought to post any of these for you guys to see, as here in NZ they are very common, including the HSV versions too (Holden Special Vehicles) which are tweaked a bit & sport some more extravagant body work. I recently done a correction on an HSV GTO Monaro (manual 6 speed) that I think you would like but I didn't snap any pictures because here, they are fairly common.

Top notch review - nearly finished with my PBL coating, V2 is on the shopping list. :dblthumb2:

Thank you sir!

Yes we get them as a Chevy. Apart from the badges I believe that they are pretty much the same. You are correct in that the GTO has a different front end along with a few other differences. My good friend just put the Holden front end on his GTO and spent over 2k dollars for it.

Very cool. :xyxthumbs:

Ouch! That would make his pretty unique though, did he retain the Chevy badges or go with some Holden ones?

I must remember to take photos of Holdens from now on to share with you guys. My Wife's boss (actually both her bosses did have) has an HSV Maloo - which is a truck, well, more like a Camino style truck (we call 'em utes) with the 7.2 litre V8 which I think you would like. :xyxthumbs:

Yes he did a full Holden badge swap on the GTO as well. The maloo or UTE are pretty neat. Guy I know imported just a shell of one then used a g8 as a doaner cad to complete the project. Turned out awesome!

That would be great if you shared some cool Aussie rides! Thanks!

:hijacked: Just remembered about this thread when I was going through some pictures, here's a couple of "Holdens" we get down here in New Zealand.

Sorry for the hijacking, I'll have a look through some more photos & see what other Aussie cars I think you guys may not get over there.
