I had a client drop off his beautiful McLaren for some paint correction and ceramic protection! Wheels off, fender wells, calipers, complete wheel coating. Coat everything!

It had quite a few swirls and some minor blemishes/defects. It was going to look outstanding when completed!!! This paint color is a winner. 100%!!!!!!

The vehicle was first cleaned up with a waterless wash. The paint was clayed and paint thickness readings were taken.

Process/products/equipment/tools/etc:

McKee’s 37 914N waterless wash.
Adam’s waterless wash towels.
Griots medium nano wash mitt was used for claying and McKee’s37 914N as lube.

Polishing up the carbon fiber key!

As always, nice work!! When polishing carbon fiber, do you treat it like regular paint or use a specific method? Same polish or compound as well?

Thanks guys!

ROOKIE: Yes, I treat it like paint, just keeping in mind that different materials hold and transfer heat differently, so you must be cognizant of that. Yes, same polishes/compounds.

Scott!!!! You can't interior stripe a McLaren!.... should of gone with a herringbone pattern

LOL!!!!!!! That is too funny! Next one I will...just for you! LOL

Thanks Frank!

Beautiful work!

Might of missed it but what did you use on the black trim?

Tom

Nice work Sizzle and nice car. But tell me more about that red chair your Rupes is sitting on. What model and brand and where did you buy it? Looks like it could be a back saver. I've been using a harbor freight creeper/chair thing but the wheels on it don't roll very well. Thanks.

Tom, I coated it with the ceramic coating...

It's called the Traxion Pro Gear Seat. Forget where I got it.

Wow! That's all I can say.

Yeah Paulie! Yeah!
