Hey guys! A repeat customer of mine, general manager called saying that they needed a couple of their new 2017 Evora 400 2+2’s polished due to some left over sanding marks from the factory. The first of the three was a solid red with a black top. After doing some test spots, I concluded that the paint was pretty soft so went ahead and decided to use Meguiar’s M100 with a Flex & a tangerine hybrid pad.
Process:

Wash – ONR
Wheels – Meguiar’s Wheel Brightener
Tires – Cleaned with Meguiar’s super degreaser and dressed with Meguiar’s All Season Dressing
Paint Prep – Wax & Grease Remover, no clay bar was needed
Paint Correction – Meguiar’s M100 on the Flex 3401 with a LC tangerine hybrid pad(surprised on how it finished LSP ready). Menzerna SIP on a Dewalt rotary at 600 rpm with 3 inch pads to remove scratched from A pillar
Glass – ONR soaked towel and just buffed off with a clean MF
Sealant- Meguiar’s X-Press Spray Wax, since this was just somewhat of a new car prep no actual sealant was required since cars had been sold

Awesome! I love the look of the Lotus cars, I always wanted one growing up. What were your thoughts on the car as a whole? I haven't seen one of these 400s in real life yet.

Beautiful job, well done. I'm surprised that these cars would even have sanding marks from the factory.

I like the looks of those Evora's too! Nice work on 2 tough colors...black and red. I'm also impressed that a "dealer" wanted this work done and just goes to show there are some who care and understand.

Thank you! To tell you the truth, Lotus never really appealed to me until i did these Evoras. I've done the Exige and was not that impressed overall. As soon as i saw the 400 in real life, my view of them really took a turn for the better. I love how they redesigned the interior and the overall exterior style is stunning in person. The exhaust not was impressive as well.

Thank you Will! I agree with you on the sanding marks, but as I have started doing more and more new higher end cars, sanding marks are pretty common. I don't think its lack of detail or professionalism from the factory itself, but has to do more with the fact that sanding marks do reappear after being polished due to the high heat created in the polishing process. And once it's out the finishing department it's out!

Thank you my friend. I was shocked as well at the level of detail that they desired. Most dealers would've just opted out for a filler heavy glaze or wax. These were also the first 17' Evoras in the USA that were given to this dealership.

Thank you, the 10 hours i spent on them felt more like*!
