2019 Golf R Get's Cleaned and Coated for Spring

So this weekend's Ceramic Project involved a previous customer that brought me his Daily Driver, a 6 spd 2019 VW Golf-R with just over 50k miles on it.

The goal was to once again, remove the muck of winter and bring it back to it's full beauty for the spring and summer months ahead of us. This one is finished in Oryx White which has a beautiful pearl finish to it that I helped bring out with a jeweling polish and a nice layer of ceramic. The car received nearly 100% correction from all swirls and scratches which is KEY to allowing the fine flake of pearl finish to show through.

Car was polished up with a Flex XCE wearing Green Hex Logic AIO Pads and refined with GYEON's Primer Product. The finish was then sealed up with 2 layers of GYEON's CanCoat EVO spaced 1hr apart.

Did you do a panel wipe after Gyeon Primer before CanCoat? Read a few places that if it sits for 24 hrs, Primer doesn’t need a prep wipe but if wanting to coat sooner, it is supposed to have a prep wipe. Just curious.

Oryx white looks so much better than the solid white they used on the GTI. Funny that for the MK8, at least in the US, they reversed that and now the GTI comes in Oryx White and the R is a solid white.

Yes. And in Europe one can choose either but for the US they limit choices and decided to flip them for the latest gen.

Ugh....yeah right? This package offered leaves polishing optional on wheels and he opted just for a strong clean up.....thankfully!

Yes. I panel wipe regardless, even if I do it the next day.
