Man, I haven't detailed the GT in, oh...., 9 months? Between the pandemic, life, and work, I just haven't gotten around to it. And my old back has been giving me issues.

Anyway, Griot's waterless wash, Klasse AIO by hand, Griot's spray wax, Poorboy's trim dressing, tire shine of some kind. 303 on the inside.

It ain't perfect, but it's not bad.....

Looks good, next time save your back, save some time and get a DA.:props:
 
Great job!

If you keep the car in great shape, it's possible to hand polish.

But, listen to Rsurfer's advice. (And I agree). :)
 
Thanks! Yea, the back was bugging me before the detail. Sometimes it's just easier to grab the foam pad vs. dragging out the power tools. There's a certain Zen with the hand polishing too. :)

I'll have to agree, but it's with the LSP application to me.

A foam pad by hand will never out perform a polisher, both in time, effort and final finish. You can lead a horse to water, but you know the rest.
 
Some like waxing by hand and find it therapeutic. All the hard work was done prior. I was one of them until I discovered Ceramic Coatings.
 
Looks fantastic. Yea, I am also starting to go the ceramic coating way. Just coated my F150 (ruby red) with Wolfgang Profi as I was tired of waxing (even using a DA), but it was a beast to ceramic coat, lots of long panels

True, except my dual action polisher and pads are all packed up. It would have taken me at least an hour to move a bunch of crap around in my shed to find the box with the polisher. I also don't have a garage, so using power tools on the car means getting out my 50' extension cord to run to the side of house. So hand polishing it is!

Thanks. When I actually do polish it with my DA this fall I may try a ceramic coating. I've typically just used Collonite or Poorboys waxes.
