So in Very early January (crappy weather though) I had a fun Ceramic Saturday and Sunday which involved a friends mom's daily driver. Or as she calls it her retirement vehicle

Well earned and now matching of what she is deserving of having.

It's a beautifully equipped 2019 Toyota Highlander finished in Toasted Walnut Pearl Metallic with black chrome tid-bits on it.

The goal here was to clean up a bit of paint transfer from a small incident, add loads more gloss and make it generally easier to clean, which of course Ceramic Coatings will do.

Showing them the trim coating and what a transformation it can be even on a newer vehicle and how it too really sets off the look of a vehicle and negates the need to "dress" it any further after every wash. It just plain stays fresh. The wheels also responded nicely to good polishing and ceramic. Oh- and their license plate now resides in a silicon cover & frame with new stainless steel screws and caps to cover them

No possibility it will scratch the paint behind it.

Many thanks to Adam for his trust and extension of that trust to take care of mom's ride too!

The process and products are pretty typical for what I have been doing. I'll be introducing some NEWER products in my details in 2022 though.

  • Wash
  • Decon with Clay mitt and Iron X
  • Polished with CarPro Essence
  • Flex 3401 and XCE Polishers with Green and Orange cutting/polishing pads where needed
  • CarPro Dlux for Trim
  • GYEON Q2 RIM on wheels
  • Rust Oleum NeverWet for Glass
  • Meg's HyperDressing on Tires

The garage shot of the passenger rear quarter panel is the money shot. It looks so slick and glossy. That’s just Essence?

For the record I love the color and wheel combination.

Thanks! Agree. The color really looks good under non-cloudy skies. Yes, CarPro Essence and two layers of SiC. Japanese paints are super soft under the power of Essence and a Flex Polisher. I've yet to ever need anything more.

I must have missed the SIC part, I thought you hit it with Essence and that’s it. Either way it’s beautiful.
