Been a long time since I posted a show-n-shine, but here we go.

I got a 2020 Lincoln Corsair in Metallic Black. Not new, but new to me, has 27K Miles and was an AZ lease return. It landed at my buddy's dealership. His sales guy decided to drive it through the tunnel and then use some old crappy rags to dry it off. This vehicle has seen nothing but automated carwashes thus far. Wheels were a mess, exterior was a swirled up mess, and someone made a half-hearted attempt with the interior. Also, prior to auction, someone made a half hearted attempt at rotary buffing. I loved the holograms, I could stare into them for days. LOL

The difficulties: I've been chipping away at this vehicle since last week. Our temperatures here in AZ have been like the surface of Mars, nights haven't been any better. The best temps are between 5:00 am and about 10:00am. After that I have to shut down. 100 degrees is my limit for working outside.

- DeFelsko PTG - All paint read within typical Ford specs. (this was done prior to the sale).
- Megs Wheel Cleaner
- Taminator
- Wolfgang Total Engine Cleaner
- Pinnacle Tail Tip cleaner with some 0000 Steel Wool
- Wash - Megs Hyperwash
- Griot's Garage Medium Speed Clay Mitt w/ Megs D114 as clay lube
- Paint Correction - Various Boss pads, but mostly BOSS MF pads and BOSS FCC
- Erasure
- GTechniq EXO on paint and Wheels
- GTechniq Trim Restorer & Coating -----> First time using this, love it! I ran out half way through though... but more is on order.
I did not put shine stuff on the tires, just ran out of time. Another day.

I DID NOT touch the interior, I ran out of time and will get to that probably end of August or September, maybe October when temps start to drop.

Looks great!

I hang in AZ for winters. What’s your trick to keep the foam from frying on the surface?

Thanks!

Use lots of pads. I think I used a combination of about 12 pads. Mostly BOSS Microfiber, and a few BOSS White Pads and BOSS Orange.
I have a bucket filled with water/snappy clean, and expended pads go in the bucket. You have to pay attention to not only air temperature, but the temp of the pad.
I typically never use a pad on more than one panel. By the time it comes off the DA it's HOT! This is where failure occurs, and not the type of failure you want.

In AZ glue has a tendency to evaporate into the ether, so always change pads often and check your temps. Don't push it!

Oops, I meant your foam gun. I find the evaporation is very fast in the Valley of the Sun!

Awesome stuff, Paulie!!

Great to read your post, and Congrats on the new ride!!

Oh, I see. I don't have any issues. I set the AGO Foam Tank to FULL-Auto (Eleven), and make sure I put enough Megs Hyperwash in there. Never an issue.
I use Purtech Industrial Water Tank so I can take my sweet time, and Hyperwash is sun safe.

Nicely done, congrats on the new ride and great to see ya posting again!!!

Thanks Scott!
