2021 Tesla Model 3
Black

Client’s daughter’s new Tesla. It’s name is Dexter. Wanted it corrected and protected…and it really needed to be corrected.
Swirls, heavy swirls, scratches, hazy/gray looking paint from all the defects.

The ‘details’:
Adam’s tire and rubber cleaner.
Adam’s wheel cleaner.
Adam’s shampoo.
Medium clay mitt.
Master blaster to dry.
DeFelsko PTG.
Scangrip lighting.
Flex 3401, pixie and Rupes iBrid.
LC Force Hybrid pads.
Griot’s FCC and Correcting Creams.
Optimum panel wipe.
22ple Mistico Elemento Forte.
GYEON Tire.
Autofinesse glass cleaner.
McKee’s37 quick interior detailer.
GYEON Leather shield on seats.

Thank you for looking!

That's a NEW car? Were you able to get most of those pictured defects out? Great job...as always.

Wow, that was trashed. Hard to believe it’s a new car.

Great save. Hopefully the owner will keep it that way.

Thanks everyone.

Yes, the majority of them came out. The '1' bad spot on the hood is barely noticeable now, just the deepest of the scratches are left.

Yep, brand new, super low mileage! Dealer prep. Client told me that they had the factory plastic wrap along the top edges of the car, they removed it, adhesive was left over and they 'buffed it off'. That explained the crazy line of defects along the top/upper portion of the vehicle. Crazy...

Great recovery! Some dealers are a disaster in the car prep arena

Damn, that thing was hammered!!

Nice work, Brett Weir................ ;)

You can say that again Marky!!

I know Paulie! Looks like they tried to transport 1200 sq ft of kitchen ceramic tile, unboxed on the paint!

Nice work, I have heard while people like the tesla ownership the car itself has had panel gap issues, quality control issues, etc. I think it is great though that they can make evs desirable in a way. Ford kind of now hit back with a 11 billion dollar investment etc

Damn....You're sizzling and a rock star!

Love reading your stuff..!

Tom

Thanks all!

Bill, they do. Panel gap has gotten better with the newer ones, however the paint issues are still there. Someone said 'you're paying for technology, not fit and finish!'

Thanks Tom!!! Appreciate it!

Great work as usual Scott. Surely that car didn’t come straight from the dealership looking like that??

Thanks Dave, indeed it did. It had very little mileage put on it after delivery.

Unbelievable! Guess someone picked up a dirty shop towel off the floor to wash it.
I have one of those cars coming in at the end of the month. Was the paint about average or on the hard or soft side?

^^^Soft. Kind of finicky too. Will look forward to your write up!
